Every thread feels like people attempting to fit in, even when they're saying something controversial it's only to look edgy on 4chan, it's not an attempt to start a discussion.
Comfy is typing "tfw no nocchi gf" and then getting replies longer than 1 sentence followed by a flood of image dumping.
Comfy is calling yuka a dead weight and getting a 300-word essay on why your waifu is shit.
Comfy is reading a green text that makes you laugh but also feel like shit.

Comfy was guessing who made a post because everyone was so familiar with everyone else posting style.
Comfy was knowing that the time you invested into perfume gen would resort in entertainment and that working on an image or a shitpost would result in engagement.
Comfy was the idea that we were a club rather than a community. People were wittier, friendlier and genuinely felt like perfume fans that wanted to do anything the could afford to do to make the thread even better.

I'm not going to lie, during 2016 I spent a lot of my time finding ways to make perfume general they way it used to be, that's the reason I'm so resentful, it felt like trying to wrestle a bull that was about to throw itself off a cliff.

I understand why everyone else left, it wasn't really because of how bad the gen was getting, it was because of how bad perfume was getting. If I liked any other J-pop bands that had literally any following in the west. I'd have left too.

How did you guys react to the nocchi 2009 ‘scandal’. When I first got into perfume, and read about it, I didn't pay too much attention. Since then my affection for nocchi has increased to obsessive levels. Recently, I rediscovered this article, and I've fall into despair for the last 3-4 days. Nothing feels good anymore. I've lost my appetite. Everything is just so bleak. I have this deep sense of sadness that persists. I have nothing to live for. I’m 25 years old and have been unemployed for 2 years. Perfume was my only solace in my lonely depressing life. And now I can't even have that, because nocchi will always be there. Anytime I think of her, my heart aches (and even my stomach for some reason). I guess, the fantasy I had created has finally been broken, and the realisation that nocchi is in fact a real person who I will never get to meet has dawned on me. I do realise how stupid this all is, but it doesn’t change any of the above. Is this what heart break feels like? Will it ever get better? Do you guys have any tips to getting over this if you’ve been through something similar?
