How the fuck do you come out of the ending of AoCF thinking Shion is a good person? After they lose, Joon decides to give up causing trouble, while Shion wants to keep going. The ending specifies that Shion and Tenshi cause so much havoc that people think Tenshi is one of the Worst Sisters. Shion and Tenshi are the most hated people in Gensokyo as of the current time.

This isn't rocket science, nor is it even an alternate reading of the ending. Shion keeps causing shit that affects everyone, Joon only steals from the very rich now.

Honestly the subversion of expectations was pretty lovely in AoCF. Joon has an arc, but when you meet Joon you would be completely justified in going "oh my god, what an asshole" and wanting to sympathize with Joon. Then, we get to Reimu's real ending and it's revealed that it's not like Shion was bullied into this: she's genuinely just as scummy, if not more so than her younger sister. From here you could still redeem her, but no, she retains her selfishness, while the sister you'd EXPECT to be worse turns out for the better.
