Actually, it makes plenty of sense seeing how the process of monster summoning works. You use one human being's lifeforce to summon a single powerful monster. Then you can recycle that energy along with a second one to summon an even more powerful monster. None of this is coming from his own mana supply, however. The most he can do is illusions and mindgames with his own magical energy.

That was my logic from the start if you look at my posts a bit further up. The reason I ranked his mana so low is because all of his summoning is done via taking something and using its magical energy for a summon, then essentially decomposing that summon to recycle the energy when summoning something stronger with another lifeforce's magical energy.

So instead of having a shitload of mana himself, he constantly recycles what he's already using. It's like pulling the arrows out of a corpse when you're done shooting them with a bow.

Basically Ka is just another way of saying Prana. Yami-Caster yanks out peoples' Ba and uses their own Ka to turn them into monsters, in other words.

The Pharaoh, Atem, isn't. At least not at first. In the original story he was a ruthless fucker who could care less about killing someone or causing them brain damage. Yugi was the moralfag and basically pussified Atem over time.

I'd imagine that Atem and Gil would have a long drawn out fight, then Atem either being cornered into summoning the Gods and losing because of it, or escaping from battle due to being on the ropes. I wouldn't imagine Atem as a Servant capable of winning the Grail War. If anything, if Yuugi was his Master it'd probably be similar to Shirou and Saber's situation of a talentless Master struggling to keep ahead.

Either way, yes, Gil gets cocky, fucks up and dies by someone else's hand.
