I'm 99.9% positive that's not how it works. Youkai need that fear and faith, you're not going to get that from a duel or a corpse.

Add Kasen, Eiki Shiki, Youmu, Hina, the Aki sisters, and Satori to that list. Probably Rin, Komachi, Seiran (who was cannon fodder who defected at the first opportunity), and some of the more harmless fairies like Luna or Eternity too. There's plenty of Gensokyo residents who are pretty tame if not actively benign but they tend to be minor characters at best, while most of the big players are complete assholes.

I'd say Junko too but she's more the inverse. The nicest thing you could do for her is put her out of her misery as quickly and painlessly as possible since no matter whether she deserves her permanent mindrape or not there's never going to be any hope of recovery for her.
