Let me just use this space for a quick rant.
I had just read the "Retelling of Oriental Stories" series of Touhou stories by 'Usually Dead' (Great stuff, you should read it) and I was telling a friend of mine how the portrayal of Reimu and Marisa in it differ so greatly from canon and other fanon works, how here they're shown as much more human and nowhere as HAX.
After a minute's silence, he replies "Are you following the Naruto manga?"
...
God, I wanted to punch him in the teeth.

Baka-Tsuki has completed the translation. It's on their website/wiki. But it seriously needs editing. I think they were looking for an ONScipt encoder a while back.

Meanwhile, there's a chinese patch out there and the same group is going to release a patch for the 2nd game by May.

The current ONscripter does not contain all the functions Nscripter does. So certain special effects don't work yet. Which is why there's such a delay even though the translations have been done for quite a while.

No, that wasn't the problem at all.

Sterling01 and Klashikari were looking for more translators/checkers as theace's translation was average, catching the general idea, but certainly not good enough.

And since they didn't got a proper encoder until the Futagotachi arrived, it was more less static with edition and image edition.

Currently, the beta will check each chapter for effects etc, while the 3 new translators check the other chapters over the time.

Patch should be done within the month.
