Do people really have idiosyncrasies to the degree that is in Japanese media? Fuck I have a Japanese overseas student in my Auditing class and when she talks to some other Japanese girl, they never say shit like "nipaa~" or "nyu" or "uguu" or some shit like that. WTF. Why is Japanese media lying to us like this?

>> No.1884743

it's just basic marketing
you want your "product" to stand out

>> No.1884747

They're only verbal tics.

I know a guy who ends every sentence with ", cho".
It's grown on me, too. But I use it situationally.

>> No.1884766

I once knew this black guy who ended all of his sentences with "you know" and "you feel". It was quite odd.

I always thought that little nip girls talked that way and stopped when they were like 15 or something.

From this perspective its quite funny that weeaboo use those sorts of terms, especially male weeaboo who are thus making themselves sound like mentally retarded psychopaths.

Perhaps they really are mentally retarded psychopaths.

You don't hear them say that because they're in the presence of gaijins whom they consider unworthy of overhearing such sounds.

For some reason I can't quite grasp, when Japunaise think "must make my character stand out" they continue "must make him/her speak in a weird way". It's not just moeblobs: shounen leads also have a habit of weird speech patterns (Naruto, Runouni Kenshin etc.) and incessant catchphrases (Kenshiro lol)
