Also I wonder why there were floods of comic strips with Jo'on and Shion when they first introduced. Usually it's either lots of lewds or barely any art.
It was the first time I saw the nips immediately appealed by the character's potential dynamics and quickly made stories about them.

Joon stops being an unrepentant asshole, though. While she still steals from people she's not indiscriminate about it, and only scams those she feels have something to lose AND recover from. She's still bad, but Touhou is a setting where many are defined by a nature that can't entirely be changed.

Unlike Satori/Koishi and Remi/Flan the two not only actually interact in-game, they are interacting the entire game, their relationship changes over time, they technically "break up" and there's even drama between them before that. They're a fun pair of siblings, whereas the other sisters in the series (Wakatsukis aside) have been estranged. These sisters even fist bump in Marisa's ending.

And that's only counting story elements. Even in the gameplay there's a lot we see to their relationship, like how Joon uses Shion as a projectile, or how the car that comes in on victory can near-miss or hit Shion depending. There's also how Shion flies around grabbin' up goodies in their Last Word. Fun duo, even if at the end, they're no longer a duo.
