Yes, the Masters are interesting and the story will remain a lot more consistent, with clear escalation instead of ups and downs in quality, but the core of the story and its structure will never stop appealing to the new audience they know they have, in one of the worst storytelling mediums ever.
It's trash that completely lacks TM's original appeal. I would recommend that anon to keep up with the lore if they care about that, but actually playing through that unenjoyable garbage fire is not worth it for lore alone. Only masochists like me and people who like Servant shit would do it.

It genuinely bugs me that some people defend GO for the few good ideas that Nasu wasted on it. Like "yeah, the game is mostly shit, but some of the later chapters have really good stuff!", as an excuse.
On the contrary, TM should be looked down at for making a very mediocre game their main platform. Making money isn't even an excuse, the game would continue making money if they made actually good VNs/games with those stories. Old fans shouldn't be shilling trash and paying to encourage more of it, you should be asking for better stuff.

Nasu's writing in Tsukihime is pretty rough and uneven compared to some of his later works, but his distinctive style is still very present. I wouldn't call it brilliant writing, but it's certainly not bad either, especially when compared to other doujin works of the time. It's a classic for a reason.

FSN is kind of a mess until Heaven's Feel, where Hoshizora Meteor's influence really becomes apparent.

Nasu's best writing is in Mahoutsukai no Yoru. Too bad it'll never be finished because FGO is too profitable.

I wouldn't say that for Nasu's major projects. Yeah, Tsukihime has a very similar setup to KnK, but the way the stories go and the characters themselves are wildly different.
Rakkyo, Tsukihime, FSN, and Mahoyo all have unique, original casts and stories. Maybe if you get down to individual instances (like Nasu's line of tsundere, especially Azaka/Akiha), and Mirai Fukuin / Plus Disc (which are both just add-ons to the main stories, to be fair).

Extra series was the first instance of a new thing re-using way too much to bait old fans. GO shit constantly treads that line of pandering to newfags who'll eat up anything with Servants, and "pandering" to oldfags every once in a while with lore/characters (in all the worst ways possible).

I became jaded and resigned years ago. Back when FGO was first coming out I was saying that this basically meant they were putting all their cards in the Fate basket and leaving Tsukihime R and their other works behind. People said I was just butthurt back then, but things have more-or-less panned out the way I've expected.

Look. Modern TM has a fanbase that's overwhelmingly new by comparison to the ones who grew up with F/SN and so on; they don't really care about the visual novel medium, and they likely got introduced to TM through one of the anime adaptions or FGO. They are the majority audience, and TM panders towards that group since they are the most profitable. They're a mainstream company and have been for some time now. When you read old articles detailing the Tsukihime R you see a lot of people talking about wanting an anime, not a visual novel.

I'm sure we'll get something that isn't Fate related in a few years, we might even see Tsukihime R, but I have a feeling the direction that it's going in won't be aimed completely at core and tried fans of the Nasuverse - there will inevitably be pandering towards the mainstream; Nasu even says he wants Arcueid in FGO! At this point, I wonder if it will even be in a visual novel format.

I suppose there's the Ace upcoming this year to look forward to, but the cynic in me says it'll be more of the same. Maybe we'll get another puff piece about how, yes, they "really are still thinking about Tsukihime, and here's a picture of Arc! See?" But it's all so tiresome at this point. I'd honestly rather they just kill Tsukihime completely. Nasu has been metaphorically giving me a handjob for a decade and he won't let me cum; worse still, my dick has shriveled from boredom.

Something similar to Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. Divide the game in chapters, the player plays some badass executor from the Church (a new, unique character). Each chapter can either be in a completely different part of the world, or simply expand on one setting. You slowly build up a larger plot as you go along, probably with a DAA as a main villain. Focus on good combat with depth, and really fun, challenging boss fights. The potential for good bosses that aren't just Servant shit is insane.
