Very simplistic music, in my opinion. Distinctly amateur and not compelling. This isn't to say that I don't have fond memories of some of his music, but it's mostly thanks to their context -- they're uplifted by scenes they were present in and don't really stand well on their own at all. They're only iconic because the works with which they're associated with were well received. The music is uplifted by the novel, not vice versa.

Overall he's a pretty predictable tunesmith who doesn't really bring much to the table other than half-way competent musicianship, he, as an incidental musician, knows how to convey the typical feel of a scene through music, but it's always just what you expect.

I never find myself listening to TM music outside of their related works. By comparison to other doujin titles, like, say, Umineko, Himawari, or Fata Morgana, Tsukihme & Fate have pretty forgettable music for me. Well, I suppose Tsukihime's original OST isn't quite in the "forgettable" category - it's so fucking terrible that it's hard to erase it from the mind completely.

The inclusion of newer characters related to older characters like the Master of True Berserker being a relative of a DA Kiritsugu and his mentor killed, Maiya's rape baby Sigma and the mystery of Ayaka is brilliant not to mention Lionheart's reminisce of DAAs fucking up the wars he fought in like Nero. Considering it's projected to last for 10 volumes, I don't expect absolutely anyone to die until volume 6. Narita doesn't like killing characters at all, much less early deaths. And it's fair in my opinion, the entire cast is so well built/designed , it'd feel like a waste to throw anyone away if they still have potential.

It's been great, albeit slow.

Plenty of fresh ideas, and good spins of old ones. It pretty much brings together the styles of FSN, FZ, FHA and FA in one story, along with callbacks to Tsukihime. It's really what I imagined when thinking of what I wanted of a spin-off. I love that beyond the servant wank there's also interesting masters, which is what the spin-offs always fail developing.

The ensemble cast really works well with the format, and it's really weird that they barely use it. But like >>18729655 said, Narita has to hurry up a bit, we are 4 volumes in and we are only 2 days in. That's less than the first volume of Zero in terms of time. I just hope it doesn't get stale, he introduced so many plot points that I'm not sure how he can close all of it while introducing new things later on.

It's the reason why only different companies (and not TM itself) who have ever released anything from them overseas. Take UDON with Fate/Complete Material, for example. Aniplex with the animes. Dark Horse with F/Z manga. DW with FGO (and barely). Marvelous with EXTELLA and somewhat involved with EXTRA.

Marvelous/XSEED likely bugged them to bring EXTELLA overseas because they (Marvelous) are already known for localizing titles with a certain demand (and let's not forget the previous experience they already have with TM). I mean, a slower 2nd act is only natural in 3 stage plays. Shirou patrolling the area and Sakura slowly losing it sounds like an ok movie to me. Then you have the third and final act that goes all out and ends with a bang. This is how things are supposed to be.
