The special thing is that it is rendered in real time instead of being pre-recorded. Some things, like lighting of the model, can react to actual light in the environment, as demonstrated in the Snow Miku live.

Theoretically, it can also adapt the tempo of the animations to the music and has the potential to react to the audience as well. I bet none of this is actually ready, but they are aiming for it.

R3 facial expressions also look immensely superior, in my opinion.

RAW transport streams have typically 20-30 Mbps of bitrate for 1080p, which is double the bitrate of the most typical MP4 and MKV, plus those kind of files are not really intended to be used as files, but rather to be broadcasted over the air, cable or Internet. In my case, VLC has a very high chance of hanging if I do things like trying to skip forward or backward the video or making a capture.

You'll find a lot of good stuff just by watching the weekly rankings, I recommend going back through some of those from 2014-2017. You can skip around without missing anything too important, most things stay in the top 30 for awhile.
