Convenience store food is pretty good. They have various produce, fresh eggs/pudding/breads, and most of them have alcohol. The sandwiches and onigiri get boring after about 6 months, but there are enough prepared dishes (gyudon, bento, oden, pasta gratin, etc.) that you can always find something acceptable.

Since coming here I've started watching American dramas since I suddenly have the time to do so.
