These are actually pretty consistent with how their fanart depicts them. Most of them anyway. I for one think Reisen is too short and Sumireko is a tad too tall. I'd like for more tall Kokoro art, though.

Fandom tends to lean on them being too tall, but not short. ZUN did say characters were generally between 10 year old kid and teenager in height, like the tallest is the height of an average high school girl. Marisa has been said multiple times to be short and also to look younger than Reimu, back in times when Reimu could be considered young.

Even though I think he hasn't, it's worth remembering that he did mention Remilia as looking less than 10, so short characters are very short indeed, and Sakuya as being in her teens(originally 10-20 in her profile, but having her herself claim to be in late teens.). Thus someone like Ran would be around a 14 year old or so in height.
