Actually, these things are easy as fuck, if you use some cloud.
Right now I'm working on such a assistants at job and for example google provides you with simple APIs to transform speech to text in any language and there is even api to generate dialogues in natural language so you can talk about predefined topics. These things take literally 1-3 days to set up something like that video, but creating meaningful conversations about your day and stuff might not be that easy.

As someone who got into Vocaloid just over a year ago, my usual procedure is basically to go on VocaDB, and look for the original albums who got rated the most times. Listen to them in the release order, and if you like the producer, download everything else you can find. Honestly if it wasn't for VocaDB, I would've given up on this pretty fast. I would like to chime in and add that when an artist has been practicing the same kind of art (here music made for Vocaloid), they tend to become better at this particular kind of art, so when switching all of a sudden to something different (here music with 3dpd), unless they naturally know how to adapt, it ends up being off.
And being off is exactly how I feel about a lot of 3dpd music all these producers ended up making, and it didn't have anything to do with me being resentful or anything. It was just bad most of the time.

Vocaloid in general? Probably not much. But I've fallen in love with Miku and it was the most important moment of my life.
