Yeah, I know that. Ellen also asks Yumemi if she's Christian, and unless I'm missing something, it was Rumia in EoSD that mentioned the crucifixion.
It's just that, as far as I know, the first serious comment that confirms an event from the Bible was in TD and we got nothing out of it. Even after going to Makai, referencing Christ, and the religious war, we still haven't at least revisited Sariel or Shinki. I sort of lost excitement over the thought of Christianity meaning more than mere mentions in current Touhou canon.

Still, here's hoping that ZUN is just properly researching about an obscure Judeo-Christian deity that he could connect to Sino-Japanese myths, if not building up to a reappearance of a Christian 2hu.

I doubt he will. In his Mountain of Faith interview in the last Strange Creators he mentioned how he feels it would be difficult to use a monotheistic religion in Touhou. I can see there just being not as much mileage in those types of religions, especially compared too others. Christianity is likely going to remain relegated to just mere mentions like you said. If anything we may end up getting a few more characters that are references to Christianity sort of how Hecatia is a reference too Greek mythology. I prefer this type of method actually, because rather than throwing a whole new religion into the mix we get characters based in other religions that are more or less nods to them, rather than diverting from Touhou's focus on eastern religions and mythology.

the "laws of heaven" seemed to imply humans,seeing as how they were in the background of her speech. She also said it to oppose Yukari who is on the side of youkai, and humans are opposed to youkai.

She goes outside in ULiL to search and simply doesn't find it. She thinks her arm errand will be resolved quickly. She probably had a good idea of where it might be. If it is still outside, it's not in the places she would be likeliest to look.

It's also implied she's been to the outside multiple times before, maybe to search for it then, too, and obviously still hasn't found it. Chances are it's not in Gensokyo or the Outside.

Anyway, if Kasen originally got closer to Reimu just to find a way out, as the likes of Suika said, I think that's clearly not the case anymore. She's interested in her as a person and continues to be bemused by her.

In an old thread about Kasen, I saw the "laws of heaven" explained as being the natural order. Youkai refusing to lose and creating Gensokyo as a way to survive, despite the progress of humans and their place on top of the heiarchy, would be unnatural to Kasen. She objects to Yukari's way and resents her own role in creating Gensokyo, preferring now to it take a natural turn and leaving youkai to their fate, good or bad.

I think this is one of the omake chapters that show up in Comic Rex, Febri's big brother. I'm not sure how many there are now, but I was only ever able to find one of them in Japanese for translation a long time ago and gave up not long after.

I doubt ZUN would introduce a character based on an actual historical figure unless he plans on doing much more with said religion (like he did with Miko). What im mainly getting at is if he was too introduce a Christian character in the Windows era games it would likely be a figure from the bible that just kind of shows up like Hecatia did. I doubt ZUN is going too introduce any new religions in any meaningful way especially since the whole "religious wars" arc was pretty much wrapped up in Hopeless Masquerade.

Maybe if we get a game that is specifically tied into WaHH. The reason ZUN let Hirasaka do the art for Fairy Wars is because he felt it was appropriate given the fact the hes the artist for the manga. Its not impossible, though if it happened it would certainly only be for a spinoff.

I remember reading some rumours that the Harukawa art in AoCF wasn't actually drawn by her (something about certain features in the new portraits that didn't match older ones or FS art). Dunno what happened with that since AoCF was released, but if it's true that they couldn't get ahold of her for whatever reason it might signal that she isn't willing to work on Touhou stuff anymore (what with having to make her own manga and all). So it's possible they might switch artists again for the next fighting game, and they have Azuma right there.

That said, I'd prefer if it was Hirasaka or someone new entirely, like baba.

This is a good chapter and actually makes me wonder what the actual shit is Kasen up too. Also my bet is if anyone has her arm, its probably the Lunarians and thats why she can't get at it.
