F/F2nd play a little differently compared to Future Tone. They also have edit mode (F2nd in Japanese region is the best for downloading edits), which is kind of cool. I'd say that makes F2nd worth something despite FT's massive songlist and 60fps.
X is just underwhelming though. It'd be my last pick for both psv and ps4. There's no edit mode, only 30ish songs+medleys, and customization is locked behind rng.

Honestly I was a bit upset about Sand Planet getting this big of a coverage at the Magical Mirai 2017. If you don't know what I'm referring to watch the 4min special from the MM 2017 BDs.

I don't dislike the song per se, it's nice and the PV is pretty (although I never liked Hachi and never understood why he was so popular - "HURR Donut Hole HAHA!") but that this song was chosen to showcase the new outfit felt pretty awkward. Maybe I'm imagining things but the audience wasn't exactly thrilled about it for the most part either.

So the rhythm game Musynx is getting a console release on Nintendo Switch in NA this Spring. The game apparently features a wide variety of music, including Chinaloid music! And several Stardust songs!

Seeing as how my slow ass just learned about the mobile version of this game at the same time, I'll be downloading that to check out what all Vocaloid music is featured in the game.

My guess as to why they aren't releasing the BD is because this "Hatsune Miku x Kodo" collaboration is competing for the 2020 Olympics and there's maybe a rule going on that prevents them from releasing the thing. I think I know what they did with Hajimete no Oto in Magical Mirai 2017. They somehow emulated a dynamic microphone getting closer and further from the mouth in random places: sometimes in a mid-sylabe, sometimes in the attack part, sometimes in the fall part... this, plus the updated voice bank (probably they used V4X) and the prominent use of vibrato compared to the original is why Miku sounds so much "human". The same techniques are used in the final speech.

I don't know who did this but he/she deserves a prize.

I'm not an expert so I can be wrong but this is the only explanation I can think of. That, or Saki Fujita got serious sing lessons.
