I would almost rather be alone. The only reason I came home for winter break is because I didn't want my parents to feel bad. I didn't want to put up with my family fighting like they do all the time, especially during holidays. I just want to stay in my room, finish watching Shugo Chara, and play some more Clannad. Maybe that makes me a bigger loser than the people who are going to be alone.

It doesn't add weeks. Maybe a day or two at most. However, I can't help you on that internet connection. Also, it isn't snow all year round in those tourist places.

If you want snow all year round you need to go out to places like northern. There you WILL have to wait a long time for shipments of anything and mail MIGHT come once a week or so. I think parts of Alaska are pretty much snow all year round as well, but you are once again going to wind up in the middle of nowhere with no real neighbors. As peaceful as it is, getting cable run to the middle of butt fuck nowhere is a bitch.

Tourist towns like that aren't too bad in the off seasons. Getting cable into those areas usually isn't too bad either since there should already be some nearby. I enjoy not having to deal with a lot of people in the area where I live (though I do see a bunch in town whenever I go), but getting them to run cable up a mountain through a few miles of forest wasn't entertaining.

Christmas is really such a vain holiday. I do not believe in god or have any religious tradition. I think that the forced gift thing is a pathetic waste of time and money. Yes, then again it would be nice to get together with family, wait, on second thought that would be major pain in the butt, so no.

There really is not too much in this christmas thingy for me other than cooking something nice and having a free holiday. A little snow would be fine, though.
