"Hiya. I’m one of the proofreaders for Da Capo. I’m partly responsible for the delayed release, so many apologies to you all.

But I’ve been surprised and impressed by Mangagamer’s strong desire for quality. Basically, I was proofreading half of the script back in August, and then I got a look at the other half of the script which had been done by the other proofreader, and his proofreading skills seemed sadly lacking. So I went through the second half of the script as well. Most of it I went over a second time, giving it additional polish, because I found it’s quite hard to tidy up slightly unclear wordings when you’re also correcting massively bad Engrish.

The delay arose because of this double-double proofreading (as well as some slight technical hiccups with documents getting misplaced, primarily on my part, and with some emails not getting through on their part). But I was glad that they consistently kept choosing to push the release date further back rather than release a game with some glaring errors."

Looking at the game's description, it is nice to see a mangagamer page that doesn't just talk about sex, (see Edelweiss) and actually talks about the game.

If this truly has a good translation like post 2/3 say it should, then MangaGamer is becoming a fairly good company

Despite all their problems their first few months, if Da Capo is released on time, then we are up to 6 new official translations for the year, which will be more than J-List. On top of that, Edelweiss was quite good (even with problems in the translation), Da Capo will be worth playing, and Hinata Bokko wasn't bad (can't speak for their pure sex games as I haven't played them).

Next year, they are scheduled to release Kira Kira(spectacular game), Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia, and Suika.

Between J-list and fan translations, we get maybe 10-15 releases a year.

If Mangagamer keeps an average of a release once a month, we basically get twice as many English releases as we had been getting without them.

Out of all of the games they've translated, how many are good enough to play, and how many are shit grammar where atlas is better of being used?
