The 25mm autocannon that was their staple was considered by them to be a good gun, but it couldn't even compare to Bofors or the Pom-Pom gun. It was advertised to have a high rate of fire, but in truth it only fired one barrel at a time instead of all 3 to prevent overheating, plus it only had a 15 round magazine so there were constant stops to reload. Plus the controls to turn and aim were awkward and slow.
Also by 1945 they were still using the same gun, and at that point it was no longer capable of keeping up with the newer and faster Allied planes.

When I cleared it took 4 AP shell cut-ins in green T, and that was with maxed heavy guns on both BB. Your setup is praying for a miracle. With 16inch guns your Yamashiro would have over 20 more firepower in parallel so you're really bashing your head against the wall trying to kill a boss with 271 armor with that setup.

That's because it's really hard to get past her armor. If you sparkle you should not miss, and might even have more accuracy that way since non-fit accuracy is affected by morale unlike fit bonuses.
