What the fuck is touhou? i always see threads about it, but i have no idea what it exactly is.

The Touhou Project (東方Project, Tōhō Purojekuto?), also known as Toho Project or Project Shrine Maiden, is a series of manic shooters made by Team Shanghai Alice whose sole member is Japanese game maker ZUN, who does all the graphics, music, and programming.

Usually, mid-stage. (There are rare exceptions like Mystia (MID-STAGE IS END STAGE) and Yuugi (Mid-stage all the way through baby), though.)
Universally, right before the boss fight and encompassing the boss fight of the stage.

Whether the stories are good... no. No they aren't good.

But the fanbase MAKES good stories.

Touhou is a weird thing.
