So I just got back into town a few hours ago and looked up the wiki to see what the new event is all about and honestly I'm pretty fucking confused and need help clarifying some things.

E-1 and E-2/3 have ship locks but they can be used in E-4? But those locks can only go down certain routes? Is that how it works? If that's the case should I be 'saving' certain ships/locks or is full historical generally the way to go? Also how the fuck do you reach the E-4 final boss with fuel/ammo? Looking at the map there's like 9 encounters on the way which doesn't seem right.

They were called that in part because of awful conditions on board due to poor design but in some cases also because of brutal bullying among the crew.
