In my Grimdark Gensokyo Eirin's kept alive only because Kaguya wrapped an eternity field around her.

It lets me dream awesome scenes like Kaguya "releasing" the field around localized parts of Eirin and having said parts crumble into dust.

Oh, and Kaguya told her that she would completely disintegrate if she ever even touched the Hourai Elixir.
