Shiena and Melvina for plats, Elyse for blacks. Your blacks are great, but Melvina has a game-changing AW ability and Shiena is a very reliable source of magical damage (although less impressive when you have Moltena).

Unless you already have good healers, in which case go with either Aisha or Cornelia. But note that both of these are endgame units and it'll be a while before they really shine, Cornelia's tanking ability is wasted on 95% of the game and Aisha really wants AW+SAW.

I assume you're talking about the ticket, so for practical answers:

If in need of healing, Iris or Rinne? With things either physically squashing you outright like gigases or using magic, I'd lean more towards Rinne nowadays though, being a fan of AOE healing. It's a big AOE after all.

Socie is quite good at shooting things dead even through fairly high def with her insane attack. Monster slayer range means you have a good choice of places to put her. She wasn't around for the first black ticket, when I picked Frederica (who came again in the plat ticket the week after when the month changed). They've been making some of the iffier SAWs more of an upgrade, but hers remains more of a sidegrade, it's up to you whether you want to give up the long range AOE.

There are more maps showing up with unit spaces dis/appearing over time, so relying too much on any one of either type for a team probably will result in trouble someday though.

Sasha's good. She has the second highest raw attack behind the black mage. She also does a lot to negate mage's naturally slow attacks between her ability and SAW and can give 50% evade to all allies in range. Most mages are worse than she is.

Her ability would only be truly useful on desert maps or maps with high sustained damage across your whole team. Since it only kicks in once, you would need to place her down late, so as to heal a decent amount of damage, which is often risky as fuck. Healers are not units that you hold on to for a deployment heal bomb. Her skill lasts for 15 seconds, which comes out to 1200 HP for every unit plus whatever she can put out with the extra range. That's not much for a 60 second cycle. The range boost is nice, but it's rather wasted on a skill with global regen rather than an attack boost with multi-target. The status cure is garbage -- she already halves paralysis duration for all units in range, and the only units that should ever be getting paralyzed are your tanks. Besides, how often does paralysis even get inflicted in this game?

Fedora is better than Liana. Chydis shits on her so hard it's hilarious. Fucking Iris exceeds her as an actual healer. If you ever fuck up so badly that you need an instant paralysis cure to 3-star a map, I guess you've found her niche.

Matsuri isn't bad. Now that her SAW gives a double attack, I would say that it's probably better to go with BWT for her. The -3 from GMS is great, for sure, but Matsuri is actually kitted well for combat as compared to her peers. I hear a lot of people talking about Moltena doing stupid amounts of damage since she got her AW2, but everyone says Kayou is pretty good too.

The obvious downside of Moltena is needing multiple deployment slots, and while I don't know much about Majin's, the ones I've seen so far seem to have health regeneration, which sort of devalues Kayou's percent health reduction since they'll just regen it back if you use it early.

This is my current team, if it helps. Ignore the level disparities, I just don't currently have the resources to raise everyone and some of the units are new. I'm basically trying to figure out who from the next black ticket would give me the biggest power boost.

On another note, the 40 stamina main story mission in the desert with the pyramid is kicking my ass, so what exactly do I need to beat it?

Rinne is an easy pass to Barbatos, though to a lesser extent than Elyse being a free pass to Vepar, and she's no slouch in Furfur either. Majin maps rarely have a single boss to care about, she still pulls her weight there.

Nanaly is a top unit so go with her, Aisha is great too but needs a lot of investment before she gets going because, unlike some other blacks, what makes her broken is her role compression (13% HP, -30% CD, great SAW and good out-of-skill DPS in one low-cost unit).

Apparently Naae grows as you feed her rice, and you get rewards depending on how much you do that. She's also called a tree of life/生命樹 instead of worldflower/世界花, but she may still have to do with Kodaibana reclamation efforts (I think it's stated somewhere that life crystals themselves bolster worldflowers against the pests).

Well, she's coming with the next update anyway, so we'll soon see for ourselves.

Eva is unfortunately not very useful, her niche is that her class perk (-10% attack/defense to enemies in range, multiplied with skill use) can enable tanking strategies for golems, goblin boars and other hard hitters. She is the best in her class, on account of her extended range after AW, but she doesn't benefit all that much from leveling. You can bring a level 1 Mitra or Levi to do her job most of the time.

Cornelia is purely a defensive unit, while Grace is an offensive tank that can do heavy damage during skill. You can certainly use both, and Grace's passive works great with MR multipliers like Cornelia.
