you'd be a lot better if you learned to do something more than jump the entire time. You can play like a tourneyfag, but its only effective if you are as skilled as one. I'd advise learning how to actually do things first.

where should i go learn it? all i've done was watch tourney videos and see the button inputs, and that's all i know how to do

>> No.185135

>>185096
Go to meltybread.com and look at the other combo's (they have sections for all the characters). Jumping around the entire time is pretty common of tourneyfags, so its not a problem if you want to play in the most annoying style possible, but from the looks of it all you can do is 2C spam when you do it.

You'd be a lot better if you could at least do a BnB every now and then, which unfortunately for you starts off on the ground.

jumping isn't a bad thing to learn, however particularly with the shikis, you primarily want to superjumpsince his air mobility is horrendous.

working on blocking pressure strings and spacing your normal moves, the latter of which will function to chain into the BnBs that you learn, that's the best place to start.

start with the easiest BnBs and work up from there as you get used to the character.

also, expect to get your ass kicked for a long time, especially if you start hanging out in the IRC channel; some pretty big names in MB hang out there, now.

When opening up MB for single play, you should get a window looking like this. Check the arrowed option for a windowed screen. Doing this /should/ make it windowed it netplay as well.

Re-Act is the most recent version with a story mode, so if you wanna know what's going on with the story, Re-act is worth picking up.

naturally, the gameplay is slightly less balanced, but that's unimportant for story mode.
