If it wasn't for the people who complained about the state of Horizon translations while back you had not even had a new chapter or a response from Js06.

That said, nobody is ungrateful about his work, but what people wants is something more regular instead of waiting sometimes months for a single chapter just to keep the Kamachi fans feed with their LN's. Of course that's up to him and we can't do much about it unless someone decides to hire one of those translators that works only for money.

I mean, keep in mind, it's quite possible they actually like Kamachi's LNs. So far as at least I've heard, they're just a fan with a knack for translation, and it would be hard to blame someone for prioritizing things they like better.

It could also be that Kamachi gets prioritized for logistical reasons. It would not shock me if one could bang out a whole volume of a Kamachi LN in the time it takes to do 3 Kawakami chapters, for instance. Perhaps its a nice change of pace. Maybe they even translate them on commission or something, who knows. It's they're free time, it's their choice how to use it.

You didn't understood what I said. All can be summarized with one single issue, why anything coming from Kamachi has a regular scheudle but horizon doesn't? it shouldn't be hard to at least take a bit of the time used on Kamachi and redirect that to Horizon, that way the huge episode of rage for the lack of updates for months will not happen again.

If true, you kinda posted the answer to your own question there. Not likely to get anyone willing to pay for your services is if you prioritize unpaid work over paid work. In fact, for all we know, if there is a commission from translating Kamachi LNs, that might directly contribute to them having the free time they use to translate Kawakami.
Now, if all you're asking for is status updates that's a bit different, but still, so far as I know, they're doing it for free in free time, and we don't know what else is going on in their life that's taking up that free time.

Isn't that Yen Press?

Honestly I think the only way that a licensed Horizon could possibly not take literally decades is what J-Novel is doing with Rokujouma (hire the fan translator, revise old translations at one volume a month while simultaneously continuing the translation from the latest point at one volume every 2 months).

Unfortunately that approach is digital publishing only, and in any case I doubt js06 would agree to that arrangement if it means he has to stop fan translating.

Finished Horizon 5B yesterday, and I must say I wasn't impressed - nothing of much interest happened. The whole book 5 was clearly a bridge to more interesting things in later volumes. Meh.

Also, I hate how Kawakami is pushing the 10 Spears on us, featuring them in chapter after chapter. He clearly wants us to sympathize with them, but I just don't give a shit. If they'd suddenly drop dead in book 6 I wouldn't bat an eye.
I also hate the Reines des Garou. Her character is immensly grating to me. And all those little cutaway scenes to her raping her husband are clearly meant to be funny, but I just find them horrible. I hope she dies before Horizon ends. Godawful character.

Kawakami's sure got an interesting focus on kinesthetics, doesn't he? Especially balance --- Kimi's dancing, what Futayo learned, and Muneshige's talent all revolve around some variant of that.

A superior talent for body control is just as useful of a combat skill as an advanced weapon or special spell. It's one of the things that I've always liked about Kawakami fights.

Okay, finished reading 10-A, so it's time to wait for 10-B.

Here's a summary for anyone who isn't afraid of spoilers:
The Azuchi attacks, but the Musashi flees as a history recreation of the Crossing of Iga.
Since it is part of Matsudaira history, that would signal the end of Musashi acting as Mitsuhide and prevent them from having to fight the Battle of Yamazaki.
They have to reach Mikawa without taking a single hit or engage in battle for it to count as the Crossing of Iga, so the Azuchi pursues, trying to hit them.
Futayo catches a spear (which counts as engaging in battle) right as they cross the border into Mikawa, and they have to negotiate over whether that happened before or after entering Mikawa.
They cannot reach a consensus, so Hashiba tries to force the issue by sending Kani over to Musashi (since the historical Kani fought on Mitsuhide's side at Yamazaki).
Masazumi claims it can't count as Yamazaki without Hashiba herself there, but they reveal that Mitsunari now occupies Hashiba's automaton body and she was originally meant to be Hashiba before Nobunaga realized she could use the body herself.
Musashi tries to flee back to Europe, but the Azuchi catches up and the Hashiba forces land on the Musashi.
Uqui vs. Magoichi. Winner: Uqui.
Gin and Muneshige vs. Sakon and Ootani. Winner: Draw, although it counts as Sakon's win.
Kiyomasa confronts Mary and Tenzou.
Kasuya confronts Nate.
Fukushima confronts Futayo.
Yoshiaki and Angie confront Naito and Naruze.
Hirano confronts Asama.
Koroku is there in the Genbu, so she'll probably confront Naomasa and the Suzaku.
Katagiri contacts Masazumi and demands they sink the Musashi and/or stop any political/wartime activity until after the Genesis Project is complete.
He says the Spears exist in order to correct Musashi's mistake.
When asked how a group created before Mikawa could have been made for that goal, he reveals that the above 8 Spears (i.e. all but Mitsunari and Takenaka) are their future children who were extracted from destiny's future, so they know for a fact that Musashi's methods will fail and the Genesis Project is the only way of saving the world.

Presumably the cutting power will be canceled. The restriction isn't due to some fundamental limitation in the weapon, but rather is a self-protection mechanism. After all, Tonbokiri is a weapon that chooses its wielder, so it should be able to do that much.

Yeah exactly, and that fight not even started. They are dealing with the negotiation on how to start the Battle of Yamazaki that follows Honnoji, and then they have Westphalia, Sekigahara and Osaka.

It's the same as how in OnC the Army assaulted UCAT in v.5 but the big negotiation came in v.6 and the final battle in v.7. And here they still are at the start of the month, Westphalia will be at the end, the 24th of October. And that will have all the countries involved and taking sides of one Genesis Plan or another.

>Looks like you guys have to read more of kawakami.

You know what's doing Class Plum right now after the last fight with Hashiba when they won against them? Asama is looking for a solution to the Genesis Project because they have around 1 and a half months before Nobunaga finally achieve her goal and commit suicide.

There are a couple of fights and the battle of Yamazai is not over yet but that already started and westphalia can be just the aftermath of what happens once the last fight is over. Kawakami can easily pull that in 2 volumes.

OnC have to take more time since those volumes were small when compared to Horizon ones but take them and you can have a similar lenght. It's okay to be in denial but don't delude yourself.

Yeah, but going by that just means your hearing is above N5. Put some bizarre kanji with some bizarre reading and you're fucked. Horizon is full of those. I'm N5 and I still struggle a lot playing Steins; Gate. Thankfully there's KanjiTomo.

>We haven't even seen Sanada Nobushige yet and that's kind of odd.

True, what was that about? This is still hanging from v5.

>It was a dragon. The great dragon was pure white and measured more than 120m long. It had 6 wings and it was not one of the beast dragons known as Terrestrial Dragons. It was one of the Celestial Dragons with high-level intelligence.
>The white dragon spoke calmly.
>“I am from Sanada Academy. My inherited name is…‘Former’ Sarutobi Sasuke.”
>The loud and deep voice seemed to be produced by multiple windpipes.
>The tremor of that voice was definitely directed at them.
>“If you enter Sanada land, mankind, know that you may find yourself facing the 2 Celestial Dragons who are all that remain of the former Ten Braves. I bring that warning on behalf of our leader, Sanada Nobushige-sama. We…”
>They…
>“We will protect Sanada land in order to send Sanada Nobushige-sama to Hashiba.”

This and the Tonbo Spare being exactly the same as the original are probably the biggest mysteries right now.

Js06 should be N2, N1 are close to the level of an adult japanese.

Consider that any standard 20+ yo japanese should know between 2000-2500 kanji and that's after all those years on school and university.

I mean that we haven't seen Nobushige at all. Just Nobuyuki and Masayuki.

Explained how? Yeah we saw Sanada Masayuki who is the principal of the Sanada Academy and Sanada Nobuyuki who is the Sanada Student Council President and Chancellor.

But then they also mention Sanada Nobushige (the real name for Sanada Yukimura) who is the Vice Chancellor who went with Hashiba and the commander of the old and new Ten Braves. The thing is the even since then we still haven't seen him at all even if we saw quite a bit of the Hashiba forces.
