I would draw Touhou but I don't really know much about the characters personalities since I only just got into playing the games about a month ago. Haven't even began reading any of the doujins, and I only know 3 of the characters names (Reimu, Meiling and Cirno)...

That reference looks pretty ugly too. The artist didn't even explain how to simplify the hand and how to break the hand and fingers into simple shapes. Fingers are short as hell and hands looks like its from a 5 year old. The artist probably threw out random Did You Know fact he figured out just by looking at his hand while taking a shit.

it's OK to use art for reference, but you need to learn anatomy by drawing real people. as in, life drawing, sitting around and drawing unattractive naked people.

if you can't afford a class, or you just can't be bothered, you can use posemaniacs.com as a substitute, but if you only use that site to learn anatomy it's going to show.
