This game may have a lot of really crappy tropes, but I feel the characters are mostly capable of carrying themselves. So as ass the mainstory may be, there's still stuff to enjoy. Mayako is pretty nice as well. Quite a different Aoba Ringo role, but this one at least works. (unlike that weird shit in Priministar.. though that had generally way more problems with pretty much everything anyway)

Kajiri Kamui Kagura review

This was a quite refreshing and original work. In particular, it abandons the traditional singular male protagonist structure for a series of romances between specific couples, something seldom seen in VNs. This allows for more development of the male side of the relationship from early on in the story, as well as design of their characters to suitably match the heroines. So you get a cute couple that work well together because they were literally built to be in a romance together, which usually you only get in single-heroine VNs.

Of course the girls are still cute, which is the most important thing. You have Ryuusui, a hard-working loli character with confidence in herself, so she hates being looked down on for her small size, which means you get the fun of bullying her as well as the fatherly pride of seeing her grow and succeed. Sakuya is the perfect yamato nadeshiko, refined and elegant, devoted and loving, basically the ideal wife. Shiori is pure fun, chilled and laid-back and enjoyable to be around, the kind of girl who feels like your friend and equal in the relationship. And then you have best girl Rindou. The "ice queen" archetype of a strong powerful leader who inspires patriotism and worship, but with a cute inner nature only you see where she is secretly unconfident and an embarrassed little girl, is often regarded as the pinnacle of moe, and Rindou is perhaps one of the best examples of this, the gap between her noble demeanour and blushing side is so amazingly cute.

If I was forced to make some complaints, I guess some of the filler fight scenes were a little long and drawn-out, and there could've been a few more H-scenes. But this was still a very high quality pure-romance game, I'd definitely recommend it as a great example of what the genre has to offer.

I feel like if it happens, then it's usually if there's a main-heroine of sorts and a little more going on than just romance. As in when self-insert isn't the primary goal. Very very few exceptions.

I just don't read much at once of this. Because, to be honest, the only good thing so far is the "main-story". The little "romance" parts were so far (2 times in the trials, once in the main) all absolutely horrible. The sex was also even worse written than usual, which is quite an achievement.

But well, if you like the overall genre(s) of this, you don't have that many choices. And the mainplot seems interesting enough so far. A few nice BGM songs are also there.

That said, if I play an rpg, I tend to do that for the gameplay. As such I want to see all of it, at least as far as it makes sense. I'm not completing stuff to whatever the games think is 100%. It's good, but I liked Himawari and Aqua After more. Like some other plot games it has those rather long-drawn introduction bits and wading through a mix of padding, foreshadowing and red herring in other routes until you finally get to the actual "real deal" bits, even moreso than was the case with Himawari so better buckle up for a fair share of SoL as well. The eventual payoff is pretty great however and the game doesn't pull any punches when it gets down to it.

The protagonist is a bit hit or miss, his looks and demeanor in most of the game is carefree and entertaining but in some other parts he's annoyingly hetare, especially apparent in Karen's route. Overall I would recommend the game.

I absolutely loved them. Really non-standard heroines. There's one girl in Island who could possibly be described similar as to what you're probably thinking, but it's taken to far lesser extremes than in Himawari and in the end it's done rather differently. Hard to say anything without spoiling.

I think the writer might really have a fetish for (spoiler for both Himawari and Island) feeling like you're being cucked hard by already dead guys.

There's not that type of stuff in Island, and wasn't that closed only to specific bad ends? But yeah, I remember that many of Himawari's bad ends had characters acting like total fucking retards, f.ex. the one with Aqua pulling out a real gun and fucking killing Ginga out of nowhere was stupid shit that felt like a bad end for the sake of having more bad ends.

Granted I didn't play through all of Island's bad ends unlike I did with Himawari so I don't know if there's optional stuff that's even more bonkers. Rest assured that the main story is free of that kind of shit however.

But it's not illegal. It's distributors threatening to drop titles, no legal issue whatsoever. Which is why if we create a distribution system for creators they can drop this, at least in regards to our distribution system.

Take Sakuranbo Shougakkou for instance. They have a type A and a type B version for all their later titles.
https://vndb.org/v13794
https://vndb.org/v16001
https://vndb.org/v17284

The Type A versions all have the voice actress screaming 'yes, please put your dick in my 10 year old elementary school 5th grader pussy' while wearing a randoseru

The Type B versions change all the dialog, claim the girls are over 18, and remove the randoseru. Those versions get distributed on 'proper' websites like Getchu and Melonbooks while only DMM is willing to carry the Type A versions.

https://www.melonbooks.co.jp/detail/detail.php?product_id=34235
versus
http://www.dmm.co.jp/dc/doujin/-/detail/=/cid=d_071894

Melon books doesn't give a rats ass that a Type A exists. They don't care that there's a version where the girls are screaming out 'I'm 9 years old' during sex. They only care that at THEIR SITE such a thing doesn't exist. The problem with DMM is they'll only carry a title with true lolis so long as nobody reports the game. Which already happened with Koen Itazura Simulator version Mako
http://www.dmm.co.jp/dc/doujin/-/detail/=/cid=d_081843/

Now you can't get the Type A version anywhere outside of old torrent sites. Or take White ~Blanche Comme la Lune~ https://vndb.org/v5431 where the girls were stated on the official site to be 11 and 12 years old until after the game became available and they were forced to remove it by the distributors. It's not because it's illegal, it's because distributors are assholes.

Commercial eroge makers are required to include the disclaimer if they want to pass the gaming ethical regulations review. Normal games are rated by CERO but adult games are reviewed and rated by EOCS or CSA and they have several limitations including mosaics, not going overboard with scat/guro, properly specifying that the game is a work of fiction, and many others besides not technically having minors in the story, or using words that may imply they are (the latter being in EOCS case at least; I think CSA is more lenient).

They can still legally sell the game but most shops won't accept the product if it didn't pass the inspection. Undergoing review is also required by law in many prefectures due to child protection laws. Doujin games are excluded.

You guys are arguing with more than one person. I'm afraid you think there's only one of us. I'm very ok with games saying 'please don't molest children' or 'all characters are works of fiction' because such warnings don't affect the narrative. What upsets me is that the unnecessary 'all characters are over 18' is insulting, destroys narrative, and breaks immersion. As I said.

Think about this. I know of 2 examples, exactly 2 of a character underage to get married. And because of that it's a significant part of their story
https://vndb.org/c11686
and
https://vndb.org/c7200
Miina-san isn't married and therefore her boyfriend is free to cheat on her with no repercussions. I won't spoil the end. While with Yukie she's too young to marry and it drives her story. Worried that there's no bond between her and her 'husband' she's afraid Hanako https://vndb.org/c7201 her caretaker will take him away from her.

There are many other stories, from child soldiers, to child abuse, to underage drinking that are all BLOCKED because distributors refuse to allow a person's age to be spoken from 5 years old to 18. It's ridiculous. You can't even say a girl is 17.

Come on guys, if I can't appeal to your loli sensibilities maybe I can at least appeal to your desire for freedom of expression. I don't want to beat a dead horse any further. I'll just take my leave. Enjoy a loli maid.

I didn't care about about japanese, I just wanted to read untranslated stuff so I just dived into it. First MTL for the first title(combined with occasional WTF is that followed by debunking the sentence with parser), then I went full-time parser. I still don't know a lot of kanjis, but I think I learned a lot more than I would have by using Anki grinding or whatever.
I just sat for a long time on like each sentence, googled unknown grammar or expressions and little by little started reading quicker and quicker. Now I think my reading speed is like maybe 1.5 slower than english cause I still use parser(not for all sentences of course) but I'm fine with that.

And at the same time there's plenty of innocent scenes like taking them out to the amusement park, studying together, being woken up in the morning, and having a birthday party. The CGs are only half filled. I got more to go.

What's the point of the love triangle in Kami no Rhapsody if my attention is getting divided between a whole harem? Do not EVER care about story/characters in Eushully games. Yes, the main girls are no more important than the side characters. Yes, there are actually side characters which are important for the main-story, while the main heroines are not. That's just the way it is. And it's pretty much always similar with Eushully stuff. Amayui has a main-heroine who may actually deserve that title, but still is totally fine with the protag sleeping around and whatnot, while they try to tell some weird romance at the same time. It sure isn't working. Though of course Eushully protagonists being even heavier mary sue characters than usual in eroge also complicates things. Everyone HAS to like the protag, praise the protag, adore the protag.

So yeah, do yourself a favor and don't ask question. If there's a character you like, enjoy their scenes. Kami no Rhapsody had a bunch of quite likeable character and also into each other gearing events with some. Crab becoming friends with hyperactive water spirit (or whatever) was pretty cute for example. And dragon was pretty nice as well. The main heroines suck, but alas, can't have it all. Better like that, than the main heroine of Amayui who is quite likable but gets ruined pretty fast.

Why is this girl so fun? The game itself is as well, a bit surprisingly. (Giga moege)

Sakahari has a simple setting. The protagonist likes fun. And he wants to make his school fun. Well, he may have been expelled a little for that in the past, but there's no need to get stopped by that, right? So, he got about 300 hits with a baseball bat on his ass as punishment for getting expelled by his childhood friend (was supposed to be 200, but he commented on how she got all fat and wobbly around her "upper arm region" since they last me), and was enrolled in the same school as hers, where she is the student council president.
So far so good, because of circumstances, he's appointed class rep, and immediately proceeds to fulfill whatever old requests were still in the "idea box" or whatever of his class. While doing so he realizes, how the school has a problem with things not being too fun. So, he proclaims to fix this to the student council, though his childhood friend isn't happy, as his methods were always a bit.. harsh. He was called "hurricane" for a reason. (How many eroge are named in part after their protagonist?) Still, so far he did nothing bad in the new school, in fact he only did good by fulfilling the aforementioned requests which were essentially cleaning up or repairing stuff. So they can't warn or do anything official about that.. yet.

Thus you get the setting. The protag has a few helping hands, the student council has a few members. Blondie here serves as a vice student council pres, as well as vice class pres, and is a big fan of the student council president. It's hard to explain why I like her quite a bit, but pic related I guess?
If there's something I'm not really liking about the game so far, then that's the obviously incoming harem. I hope they keep that back. I can also do without too much "actually, they met each other first as childs!" tropes, but this is looking sorta bad already. That said, it's actually a moege which gives each heroine quite a bit of a unique defined role, which I feel is more rare then you'd think. And it works quite well. And for those "new moege have too much ero!" guys here, the scene menu has space for 10 scenes. (5 routes) Great voice acting as well, including Imai Asami.

And that is why I dig Madou. Most recent Eushully protagonists feel so bland like just an excuse to be an MC. This guy actually earned it when most of the people were looking down or outright wanted to murder him.

He survived a Farakara nuke and even begged the emperor for a promotion using his dead comrades as a stepping stone. Had a clear ambition/characterization and made choices that made sense befitting someone who led an armyThough most of them made more sense when you forsake the heroines like breaking Ferruano by making her a puppet and ruling Ranaheim like that instead of letting her join you which is suicidal logically speaking

Even the MC laying with a bunch of girls was made out to be logical here since he was a playboy type instead of a 'nice guy' MC+ Constantly being at war and needing a way to unload his stress Risel actually knew that side of him

Not to mention this game probably had the best voice acting out of all the Eushully titles I've played so far. Really miss the game.

Hey now I'm quite liking the chemistry between Fia and Avaro so far-played up to the first h-scene, chapter 4.
If I didn't feel the setting/lore and the characters even if its just serviceable I would've dropped it like Kamidori. Couldn't even finish Yuela's route back then since the gameplay just didn't carry it for me.

But I do wish we got more sense of living inside the fortress and all. 'Tetris townbuilding' feels so weird.

Resonance (pic), though it's not much about pure girls. (there's at least one mindbreak rape scene and depending on the player, the game may even feel a bit NTR-ish)
Fortissimo, though again it's not really pure girls, given the genre. Momiji is a really great character that gets a surprising amount of pov scenes, although she's technically no "protag". (Probably part of why she's so great and show stealing though)
Alice Soft's Blade Briders also features a surprising amount of scenes from a girl's pov, including sex.

That said, there aren't a lot of male targeted VNs with major female povs. So something like Fortissimo or Blade Briders are already somewhat rare, even though the girl's in question aren't a protag. If that's not enough, you pretty much have no choice but to go for yuri or something like Steampunk and the very few other exceptions that exist. (i.e. Swan Song, though I have a hard time actually recommending that..)

I may have explained myself badly in the previous posts.
My main gripe with the usual "Girl turns into a slut/gets forced into depravity" stories is that they're told from from the male's perspective, or from the perspective of some character nobody cares about just so there can be a self insert.

I don't want a self insert, I want a female character whose 'head' the narration is in the whole time, and who is the star of the story.
I'm interested in Corruption, pretty much. Not the "I'm the demon lord now" kind (although I wouldn't mind it), but more of the "I've radically changed in personality and appearance as a result of lewd things"

Plot-based stuff would be nice but I have zero expectations for something like that to exist, so I'd be okay with nukige along those lines.
For some reason the NTR TypeB genre is the closest I've seen coming to what I'm looking for, but I didn't really care for the NTR part, I just enjoyed having the girl as the protagonist.

My problem with Heart is the high school aspect. In Sky, when Kou was in high school, he sucked at piloting his simucrum because he was an amateur and had no training, which made sense. Now in Heart, we have a bunch of amateur high schoolers straight up going to war and not getting slaughtered.

On the flipside you have an idiotic highschooler in Sky Dive who gets more respect and importance than he should have because he has a past he doesn't know.

No matter how you'll look at it, it's gonna be crappy in some way. Some dislike one more than the other I guess. Personally I feel there's little worse than amnesia plots that give an excuse for character to act like idiots in a position they'd never be if not for that forgotten background. Root Double also pulls that shit and has the 32 years old protag act like a 16 year old guy. Obviously gets to see all the danger and action, because he was important before, not like he'd remember or has any skill/knowledge to justify that..
But, well, amnesia plots. They.. tend to suck in some way. Let's just put it like that.

They do get slaughtered in the first route. I do remember the guide having an issue, as it basically got re-ordered at some point as you could apparently miss something? I'm honestly not sure, if that's even true, but it said something like that at the top. Seiya-saiga guides aren't really made with great care, as far as I know. Sometimes you'll find great guides, but sometimes they are pretty obviously awkward and not perfect. They usually work, but aren't optimized at all.

Regardless, at that point the whole guide was probably not checked again, so this happened I guess. Regardless, you should still be able to follow things, you just need to choose right. Don't ask me how that worked exactly, but I don't remember having ever trouble. Generally though, don't worry, just try. You shouldn't be missing things.

Finished Chronobox.

Chronobox is a game, where the story starts 75% into the main-game. That's not even a joke. However, the idea of the story was still good. So provided the first 75% aren't bad and it's presented well, this would be a good game.

So yeah, that wasn't the case. The first 75% are plagued by really bad romances, too much bad porn (it's quite an achievement to write even worse porn than your average eroge has) and little interesting stuff. The arcs were at their best, if they featured as little romance as possible so it'd just be an excuse for sex. Not like that's good, but at least it's less painful. Over the course of this, you get a bit more information, but it mostly just adds to the mystery. You don't really feel like you progress through it. The first 75% are literally "build the setting". Just to throw it away again.
Once you hit the last 25% of the game, things get revealed. Like I already mentioned, by the end it makes sense and the overall story idea is fine. Though there are still issues. First of all, the very fact that it threw the first 75% away. Why even bother so much with that then? There were several characters thrown away for no reason, that people must've been interested about. The author could've just left those characters out and fleshed out the rest or something. Another issue is the sudden rise of gore. Heavy gore that is, which is also mostly utterly pointless. It's very clearly written exactly like the sex-scenes (pretty sure most is in the sex recollection as well), which also implies it's just as terrible as the sex as well. Some of the lines and sounds the characters give there sound so unreal that you can't take it seriously.

All in all the game is plagued by not knowing what it wants to be. There's way too much sex for a plotge, but for a nukige you have an unfitting setting and too much mystery. Plot + nukige works better if the setting doesn't desire romance for sex for the most part. Otherwise you get.. well.. Chronobox, which rushes through romance so fast it's just BS.
Then there are left mysteries and badly used characters who themselves could be somewhat of a mystery as well. (i.e. Shie)
Finally there's the trials, which are utter bullshit themselves. On the one hand they feature original/unique content, on the other hand you are better off not reading them. It's so fucking dumb, honestly. Why are the trials one big red herring? Especially with the resolution at the end, nothing in there makes sense AT ALL. What happens in there literally can't happen. So the mystery is pretty much BS as well.

So yeah, I don't know about this one. It's not bad, but not really good either. The art was pretty nice, but for the ero, the porn writing could definitely need some improvement. Also I'm not sure why some called this denpa or horror. It features 0 denpa and so little horror it's not even worth mentioning. It's pretty much mystery with psychological parts.

I suppose you liked the weirdness then. To me the scenes were just to weirdly written as far as moaning and whatnot goes. Also let's not talk about the scenes which are 90% exposition. Do that outside of ero please. I mean seriously, since when do you discuss relationships between other people and backgrounds of character while the girl is riding on the guy? And then you get like 5 lines of "ahn" and "ikuikuikuikiku".

Speaking of "girl's personality", I don't think so. At least not for most of them. For some perhaps. The general "weirdness" of moaning and whatnot went hand in hand with some of the gory sounds, which just sound silly and it happens regardless of the character. Or maybe you mean something else here. As I mentioned already, they sometimes talk A LOT in these scenes.
Also keep in mind that pretty much none of the sex actually happens, given that it's a "dream" of sorts that the MC comes up with. The only sex that actually happened was the double rape towards the end with Kabane.. if I don't forget anything. Makes sense, given that the MC kinda lacks a penis in the real world...

You know that one picture that lists the top eroge voted per year? Is there maybe something out there for nukige? The best nukige of each year?

>and the story is all right enough that I wasn't too bored.
Really? Because the common route was so goddamn pathetic it actually gave me a headache with how terrible, cliche, and shallow it was.

>I suppose you liked the weirdness then.
That's exactly what I loved about the game, I loved the weird and strange feeling in the H-scenes, I mean I was like " this girl is supposed to be a virgin and having sex with her lover so why is she screaming in pleasure all the time? Does she love sexual pleasure this much ? "
The Usual H-scenes would have lines like " it hurts but move please" or " I can feel you inside me, we are connected " and glitch line like this. But Chronobox was different, it went completely mad with girls screaming in pleasure and shouting how much they like dick. It was almost that they only love the sex and not the MC.

I think you didn't enjoy the game as much because you had a different expectation while reading it, but I got into this knowing exactly what I'll get, because I played the author previous game Dasaku
https://vndb.org/v14922

The author even mentioned that Chronobox is the spiritual successor to Dasaku in twitter. Dasaku was weaker in the story but stronger in the ero part. That game was really one in kind, I mean it's probably the only game with a legit trap route and sex which Chronobox chickened out from doing.

Well, for one thing I actually expected the game to have some substance instead of close to 90% essentially not mattering because it never actually happened. Fun fact, you don't get to know ANY character but Kabane for a little bit, as everything else is in the dream, or it's the gifts of the other girls having control. It's so nonsensical.. And I also expected some horror/denpa, which I didn't get.

So I definitely didn't quite get what I hoped for. The trials then also ruined the mystery aspect and little is left.
As for the ero, like I already mentioned, this stuff just didn't feel anywhere near real to me. Similar to the gore lines. Eroge overdo things, that's relatively normal, but this author went so far, it was already more funny than anything else. And for the girls supposedly going all wild during the sex, they talked about random shit a damn lot. I don't really know if this really fits so well together.

I don't know anon, but a black goat with a huge scythe running around torturing cutting young girls heads
gave me all the creeps and chills I need for a whole year.

Anyone can orientate me in regards to Eternity Sword 3/the current state of the Aselia series?
Checking the official twitter I only see stuff like Drama CDs and character songs.

That was a minor part in the game, and rather predictable anyway. The whole scene there wasn't written as horror I feel. Or, if the author tried, I don't think it worked well. Generally speaking, you don't want such predictable events, nor a big group together.
Was it really horror that gave you chills? Or just the torture? Because that's not really the same, if you ask me. I mean the author even directly "spoils" what's gonna happen there and you already know that there's no real consequence, as another loop can easily revive. The one twin "died" once already, the protag several times...

I don't know. Maybe I just didn't get affected by it this time, although I'm usually pretty easily susceptible to horror.

Only played Flight Diary in japanese, and this was a pretty easy read. I will assume it's the same level of difficulty as the main game

Not the dude you're replying to and I haven't played that game. But for me I feel like horror is 90% atmosphere and the suspense of wondering if something is going to happen and what will happen if it does, as opposed to stuff actually happening. For some reason scary shit actually happening rarely does it for me, it's all about the suspense.
