Why are these threads allowed but 4chan cup threads aren't? They both are about Internet videos and streams.

The 4CC stream has no ads, neither does the wiki or any of the team Youtube channels related to it. Meanwhile AI-chan's channel is monetized so her company is gettimg more money from these threads.

When the /jp/ team is playing, the models, stadium, music etc. are modified to look like /jp/ related characters. AI-chan's videos are either vlogs or Let's Plays, both of which are off-topic here, but I guess it's okay since it's an MMD model doing it. I ask then, why is it okay to make threads about an MMD model playing REVII but not to make them about MMD models playing soccer?

And does it warrant deletion just because being slightly off-topic? In the end nobody gets hurt by it and banning it alienates a very positive side of 4chan's userbase that puts effort into creating into creating a sense of community and OC, which is more important in a Futaba-style imageboard than enforcing "on-topicness".

It would be hypocrisy if I was am active user of the generals that seem to be a fixture on this board. But I'm not, and I didn't say that anywhere in my post. I don't mind the character, what I mind is people making recurring threads on /jp/ when there's no call for them. You make an Ai thread a few weeks after the old one dies, sure, no problem. The issue arises when you have a rolling series of threads constantly up. This applies to any topic, not just Ai.
