This so much. They're deleted sometimes, but the other times they just get left up. Are mods being paid off?

Why are these threads allowed but 4chan cup threads aren't? They both are about Internet videos and streams.

>4chan cup is advertising!
The 4CC stream has no ads, neither does the wiki or any of the team Youtube channels related to it. Meanwhile AI-chan's channel is monetized so her company is gettimg more money from these threads.

>4chan cup is off-topic!
When the /jp/ team is playing, the models, stadium, music etc. are modified to look like /jp/ related characters. AI-chan's videos are either vlogs or Let's Plays, both of which are off-topic here, but I guess it's okay since it's an MMD model doing it. I ask then, why is it okay to make threads about an MMD model playing REVII but not to make them about MMD models playing soccer?

And 2hu threads are advertisement of 2hu franchise. All those kancolle/dmm/nutaku threads are advertisement of games. AKB48/H!P/idol threads are advertisement of respective idol groups.

>4chan cup is off-topic
Pretty much this. Mods explained it million times. Please visit #4chan on irc.rizon.net or use http://www.4chan.org/feedback if you want to complain.

>4chan cup is off-topic
And does it warrant deletion just because being slightly off-topic? In the end nobody gets hurt by it and banning it alienates a very positive side of 4chan's userbase that puts effort into creating into creating a sense of community and OC, which is more important in a Futaba-style imageboard than enforcing "on-topicness".

>> No.17227468

The point about this not belonging in /jp/, while the gimmick is cute, is that it's a completely /v/ topic. It's like making a thread about pewdiepie on /hm/ and discussing his videos.

>>17227468
>completely /v/ topic
Completely? You're talking out of your ass. If you don't like Ai-chan then beat it. There are a great number of other threads that need to croak first before you being talking about Ai's 'otaku culture' status. Why don't you waste your time bothering them instead ? Hypocrisy of the highest degree.

It would be hypocrisy if I was am active user of the generals that seem to be a fixture on this board. But I'm not, and I didn't say that anywhere in my post. I don't mind the character, what I mind is people making recurring threads on /jp/ when there's no call for them. You make an Ai thread a few weeks after the old one dies, sure, no problem. The issue arises when you have a rolling series of threads constantly up. This applies to any topic, not just Ai.

>>17227497
Ok, sure. It's still a fictitious character vlogging.
