OP here, I don't have much of it, but if anyone wanted to revive it, all the Alice's Emotion/etc. albums I have were gotten off one edition of those torrents. Of course it's a far cry from everything was available but it's something. Redalice always makes good shit.

It is easily one of the greatest contributions to the community with so many old releases lost to time.

Hopefully it won't be the last we see of it, I only ever managed to grab a few things of interest from it. Seriously it seems like such a bad climate now for file sharing in general.

So if you want to help out saving it by making more physical archives and seeding it elsewhere, there is still a chance. That FTP server seems to be part of the ongoing efforts to salvage stuff for nyaa.pantsu.cat

Except the TLMC uploads on nyaa were also published on other trackers. The original nyaa torrent is not dead.

It was last updated at the end of 2015 there will be nothing more recent than that.

There are plenty of other places to pick up recent albums anyway but ultimately the goal of the collection is archival purposes.

A year ago I downloaded this big Touhou Jazz collection. There are many amazing arrangements inside, but also equally many if not more crappy ones (the ratio of good:bad seems to be 1:2, in my opinion).

I don't know much about (jazz) touhou circles, how would I go about finding new releases?

I just dug up my old touhou music collection, and it's really not very big, but something like 25% of the tracks in it are good compared to the 10% I think are good in my modern collection. What gives? Are artists, like, trying too hard not to sound like the song they're arranging?
