Why are westerner "fans" so against Grand Order? Is it because they haven't read it? Is it just sour grapes? Because they have become the secondary they have shat on for years?

I miss those dreamlike days.

Mobile games are literally the worst thing to ever happen. They all need to die. Anyone who makes them should die. Anyone who plays them should die. It's the only way to save the world.

Fate is their first professional work. Tsukihime was when it was a doujin company. It also happened to be based on Nasu's earliest stories draft of his youth, so it was like something he loved. Shirou's story wasn't even in his head when he thought fate, he just wanted King Arthur seeking the Holy Grail and making him fight other heroes. That's why I laugh at anyone who remotely thinks that "B-But Fate isn't about Servants." Nasu exclusively wrote it because he liked the idea of heroes fighting each other from some chink or nip show he watched of asian heroes doing something similar (that's why he preferred using western ones, so it would be more 'exotic'). Any changes he met was to appeal the neckbeard market they neted with Tsukihime rather than something out his personal choice, it was to make more money.

You mean gatcha in games is the worst thing to happen. There's nothing that makes a mobile game worse than a handheld game except the way in which they typically make cute girl ones and the lack of real games (on normiephones) in the west.

>> No.17081473

I'm against it because it's Type-Moon continuing to milk Fate instead of finishing the Tsukihime remake.

>>17081426
Also this. Gatcha is cancer and the sooner it dies off, the better the world will be.

No, I don't see a need to make a distinction between gacha cancer and mobage in general. Whatever passes for a "good' mobile game is vanishingly rare and still gimped by its platform.

>There's nothing that makes a mobile game worse than a handheld game

Really? You can't think of one difference between playing a game on a PSP and a fucking iPhone? Like, I dunno, buttons? How about the fact that hundreds of good handheld games exist but everything on the app store is a crime against humanity?

Arc's redesign is another crime against humanity, though.

Then you are a moron, as there are many RPGs, MMORPGs, and action games on phones, not just cute girl gambling games for moebuta such as yourself.

Touchscreen.

>Fate stay

Simple designs that are practical but show some personality and historical nods.

Imaginative powers interact in a organic way that produces surprising results.
Story themes that take about deep mature themes that are still relatable.

>Fate Grand Order
Overdesigned pieces of shit color vomit and fanservice
Noble Phantasms that are just kameahahas attached to whatever sword some idiot used
Mobagame level story.

I'm just tired of Fate at this point. Stay Night was great, Hollow Ataraxia was ok, Zero was good, I couldn't get into Extra, all the other side materials range from shit to ok as far as I can tell.

Type-Moon has a lot of good IP on their hands and they definitely have the talent. Why put out even more Fate?

Also, I've never seen a mobile game that was actually good. I tried GO for a bit on release and I didn't like the core gameplay, and I'm really not inclined ot give it another try.

Not him. Shadowverse is what I would describe as a good mobile game. Its entire functionality works as a virtual card table with some random elements similar to Hearthstone and Magic. The PC client is near identical to the mobile client too. Its designed as a mobile game though with most games lasting maybe 9 turns. Last I read theyre trying to extend the average game length.

Not even the same guy but holy shit. You're seriously equating buttons to touchscreen controls? Are you fucking serious? And as far as good handheld games, are you just conveniently ignoring the existence of every iteration of the gameboy? The huge library on the DS in particular?

Your first point could be spot-on for all I know, I don't play many mobile games. It's not necessary for determining the limitations of touchscreen though.

I just fucking hate the Fate franchise, it's utter trash.

Handheld games at least try to be proper games sometimes.
Mobage are all "play 5-10 minutes while waiting on a bus-stop" tier garbage and that's not counting the lack of good controls.

This is a prime example of game being fucked by being mobage. I like shadowverse but the average 7~ (last time i saw charts for lenght it was that, nowhere near 9) make the game braindead and limit gameplay significantly.
