Oddly enough, my mom is into D&D and she sometimes roped me into playing with her friends. Nowadays she plays Age of Conan all day and does nothing else. Even I, a NEET, consider her to be a loser.

Well, it does work much like a drug. You try it at first because it seems a little interesting and don't think it's risky, and you probably enjoy it at first, but then get addicted, and you no longer receive much enjoyment from it, but you feel you need a regular dose of it anyway. Fortunately I, myself, manage to restrain myself while playing it. Unlike a lot of the other people I know who play, the most I've ever played was 3-4 hours, and that was because I was new and totally forgot about Professions and spent most of that time grinding for items to boost my skills.

Godamn, I can't stand the fags who treat it like some godamn obligation. When I was starting out I apparently sucked horribly, and got bitched out by a lot of seasoned players. The game is just plain fucking hard if you don't ask for help, don't read the instruction manual and jump in without any previous knowledge of the game.

The only reason I started was because Chaos;Head made me want to try an MMO. Pitiful truth.

Maybe the reason I don't play as much is because I don't form teams or go on raids most of the time. I hate people, in-game and out of game.

I tried playing MTG for a while, but I ended up sucking in the end. I didn't really have a broad knowledge of the cards, and people had spent fucking hundreds of dollars on cards whereas I had difficulty buying a starter pack.

The DnD nerds I tried playing with once were unbearable. "I set the shit on my finger on fire"? No thanks.

To tell the truth, there are only two reasons I play WoW.

1: Hanging with mostly the same people I played EQ with back in the days. Great crew every last one of them.
2: I like the view.

Cool story time:

So I was hungry and decided to try a japanese restaurant I saw. I sat down and ordered a tempura udon.

In front of me was a table of 5 or 6 guys. None of them were asian yet they were sitting down to this huge sushi boat. You could tell they didn't know how to handle the chopsticks, but it didn't bother them. Some of them had animu T-shirts, others were laughing while shouting lines from their favorite animu or discussing who's stronger than who while clumsily eating the raw fish.

So I was slurping the udon and watching them talk and goof around. Being one how surpresses their power level, I found this group of people so higlhly amusing, and their openness seemed so much fun that I didn't rage or facepalm or anything. It made me wish I had friends with weeaboo interests outside of the internet. In fact I never had an interest in being friends of Narutard-level weeaboos before that.

I thought of trying to start a conversation with them, but naw. When I was about to leave my cellphone rang. I have Miku Hatsune's Melt (MERUTO) as a ringtone, and thought that if they recognized it they'd pass the test as real weeaboos.

But alas, none of them did.

Most adjectives are subjective, and ronery is one of them. If your mom says you're cool, does that mean you ARE cool? No. To be able to use an adjective without adding phrases like "might be considered by some to be", you have to establish the most objective standard you can. Since this is the only way to prevent people from saying that they are ronery because their boyfriend is away for an hour, this is required for any meaningful discussion of the subject. Considering /jp/'s usage of the word this objective standard would only be met by those who have never felt requited love, and has in most likelihood no potential to get to know it in the present or future. When this standard is set, it's easy to conclude the argument, as none of us have been provided with any evidence that there exists a woman who can be considered ronery under this standard.
