I find more runs are ruined by Tsu shelling/torp and stuff like CVL Kai shelling than by opening airstrike unless you are only getting air parity.

The difference in AACI between a max AA equipped Maya and the standard Red/HA/plane/radar is a few % at best, while the difference in shelling and night power is huge.
