Gensokyo could probably easily be destroyed by the Lunar capital if they wanted to.

Also it's hard to gauge celestial strength since iku and tenshi are both considered weak for heaven.

The Celestials are already dignified as the Lunarians are slowly losing their purity from acting like the bunch of stupid, prideful humans they are and attracting unwanted attention from the sins they have comitted. Who are they to cast judgment on their peers when they have yet to achive true enlightenment? They claim to be above it all, yet when pressed against a wall they're just as short-sighted, warlike, and foolish as their counterparts on Earth.

Your set logic is flawed, as Gensokyo contains Clownpiece and Clownpiece can destroy Lunaria, as well as get there by either Hecatia or Yukari or by flying there because it only takes a couple minutes, as we see in LoLK.

Not to mention Reimu is much stronger now with full-power fantasy heaven, and the piece written by ZUN after LoLK was released (Strange Creators of Outer World) says Yukari is limitless but is nerfed for narrative purposes, and her ultimate goal is the preservation of Gensokyo. Try to destroy Gensokyo for reals, and 2hu becomes a Yukari powerlevel shitpost.

The fairies were corrupting the moon, they didn't defeat them. Lunarians are very afraid of corruption and impurity so they couldn't fight them. Clownpiece and Hecatia didn't even encounter any resistance since the Lunarians just let it happen.

Also Reimu already faught against the Watatsuki sisters and she wasn't even close in power. We don't know Yukaris full power but I don't think she could stand toe to toe with the Lunarians. As it is right now the Lunarians are the true "bad guys" of Touhou and Yukai is the only hypothetical that could stop them in a real fight.
