My human instinct just sheepishly goes along with instinct and suggests picking up a nice bottle of red for the girl along the way as well while we're at it.

I like IRL. I think more people should. if you know how to play really good, you can make it bearable. I plan on getting a degree and just living my life. people are pretty easy to manipulate too, i dont know what the fuck is wrong here, learn how to fuck around with people, get them to do what you want and make IRL work.

I share your dreams OP. I'd like to win about 5 million USD in a lottery and do fucking nothing for the rest of my life while living on some warm, tropical island like Malta or Barbados. In my life, I have worked (full-time) and studied at the same time, and I also lived as a NEET for extended periods of time. The second option was SO MUCH BETTER! The unemployment office only paid me $200 for 6 months (such is the benefit in my country) but as I still live with my mom, I could spend a half of it on whatever I wanted... So this was my life then: drinking beer, browsing the net and not giving a f**k about anything, sleeping for as long as I wished, getting up whenever I wanted, no stress, no problems at all. The return to work after that was horrible.

The only real problems with this kind of life occur at the beginning: you are used to a certain standard of living that is much higher if you work than if you do not. So you may indebt yourself heavily during this period. But, as the time passes by, you learn to find the cheapest food in the market, you learn to save, you learn to give up many things and still it seems to better than going to work. There is something addictive in this kind of life, it's like heroin: it destroys you, it puts you into poverty, you live on the "basic minimum" kind of money, but after some time, there is no way you go to work. A girlfriend would like to go to the cinema and you have no money? Well, who needs a girlfriend... Seriously, if you are not rich, never try this kind of life. It's just too difficult to give up later.

In my opinion, mankind is perfectly OK, so I don't agree with the OP on it. Still, work sucks, and most people don't even know how hard it sucks, as they have never had an occasion to live the life free from all problems (i.e., job, school, stress, duties).
