I found her kind of boring. Rin and Shirou had fun back and forth conversations (and the best route) whereas Sakura was just like "senpai what are we going to cook today".

Because she's the weakest heroine in the game. Hell, some of the supporting cast give her a run for her money. Saber and Rin have some depth and a bunch of great scenes and character moments and interactions and all that good shit, but Sakura is just kinda there.
Even in scenes focusing on her she's just kind of a bystander. Something's happening and she passively watches. Someone's doing something horrible to her and she lays there and takes it. Latter she goes crazy and evil, but Dark Sakura is practically an entirely separate character. I know they tried to play it up as regular Sakura acting up, and there's no evil persona running the show now, but I didn't really buy that.
I think the only Sakura scene I really liked was when Shinji used her as a hostage against Shirou. That was pretty tense. Oh, and her vs Rin at the end, but that's much more for Rin that Sakura.

Wormslut.

It's amazing how the HF finale has everyone at their strongest and pulling badass shit at eachother the whole time, and Sakura, the heroine of the route, is just...also there. The whole situation revolves around her and all she does is get wrecked by Rin, calmed down by Shirou, then she fucks right off so the manly punching battle can play us out. That right there is why nobody likes Sakura.

There are two kinds of heroines: those that require headcanon to be perfect girlfriend material, and those that don't. Sakura is the former.
Now, there are plenty of characters that need headcanon that are very popular. Plenty of Touhou youkai as well as a certain Nitroplus heroine eat people, even children. That's about as big a hurdle to overcome as you can get. But these characters all have extremely interesting personalities. Those who'd love the idea of a fascinating fixer-upper (as well as those fucked up enough to be half-accepting from the start) will always flock to characters like these.
Sakura, however, is in the worst position possible. She tries to murder and corrupt heroines (the ones you have to clear before reading her route, no less), AND she isn't a virgin. That's a double no-go for most VN readers. She also has a very simple personality, the opposite of what fixer-uppers are drawn to. And it's not like they'd ever settle for her either, because in the same VN you have Rider and Ilya, who are much more interesting.

In a way, she was like an anti-heroine. There were compelling reasons not to save her; it not only required a massive sacrifice on Shirou's part, but posed a danger to others, even becoming an antagonist. Not to mention she is less than ideal. That said, she does have likable and sympathetic traits and the protagonist is driven to go balls out for her sake, though there may be a dissonance between the work and the audience regarding that.

The personality is a good point, as the person she is isn't very interesting in the series of this nature. But it fits because she's someone who wanted to live a happy normal life and never wanted to be part of this harsh magical life, but is a part of that magical life whether she likes it or not.

I never found Sakura very attractive (Takeuchi's style isn't particularly suited for "cute" characters, plus her outfit for most of her route is a snuggie of darkness) but her design in Fate/Extra with the crazy long hair is adorable.

Four main reasons:

1. She is only relevant in one route while the other main females (Saber, Rin and Illya) all have some relevance in all three routes.

2.Said route is the only one that hasn´t had a animated adaptation (yet), so anime only fags are only familliar with the routes where she is irrelevant.

3. Havin a character murder lots of people (even if it wasn´t her fault) is always going to push away some fans.

4. Rape is part of her backstory, even if she didn´t want to, the fact that she is not a virgin pushes away purity fags (yes, they do exist).

Personally, I like her a lot, I hope the Heaven´s Feel movies can make her more popular.
