Not really. There are a few frames of invincibility when you shield and Nero's hit area is ginormous during his j.C so it's just easy to throw him through it.

And the last arc only comes out if you don't cancel the ex-shield into an attack. If you're hammering the shield button, then you're effectively cancelling the ex-shield to shield again.

Don't forget to play mindgames with Nero's 214[A] either. You can connect with it even when it's off screen for that corner pressure. Just a simple 214[A]5B makes a pretty handy container against most people for the end of Nero corner strings.
