edge is better by far but I wouldn't say it's perfumes best song.

to me it sound incomplete. have you ever seen the evolution of a yakushima etsuko song? they start catchy as hell and well-made but they feel unfinished. she later always remakes them and they sound great.

edge extended feels like that yet triangle mix doesn't live up to it. it great but it's repetitive I bring it down to a lack of imagination really or maybe he just didn't spend enough time on it.

it's arguable how much more industrial would have made it better but I doubt anyone would disagree that on the refrain after the second chorus he should have layed some industrial over it giving it a more hard jagged sound than it already had. the refrain is the best part of the song yet it felt so low energy in retrospect. and to add contrast it the second chorus should have just been nocchi and A-chan and then then the third with yuka.

not to mention the fact that they he didn't end on the ki ni naru like the short edge was the dumbest thing he done. he already knew to do it in the extended jelly yet he thought that an instrumental outro was the way to go which is straight up wrong.

edge is 9/10 in the worst possible way. if he made edge the way it deserved I wouldn't hate him today.

nakata's real masterpiece is macaroni for sure. it's perfect in everyway and can't be improved.

I used to listen to Perfume more a couple years back, and today on a random stream I actually heard a song by them that I hadn't heard before and realized they released a new album last year. The song was FLASH and my love for Perfume is renewed. Cosmic Explorer has a ton of great tracks on it now that I started listening to it again.

A-chan gets a major speech in episode 1 about getting old and Yuka gets a major speech in episode 2.

They really nailed the whole "middle aged women" thing. Nocchi looks comfy as hell though.

to answer, the only song I skip is mirai no museum. not because I even dislike it, it's okay, but it really clashes with the rest of level3 and disrupts the flow.

everyone seems to hate toki no hari, but I don't mind it either. I couldn't listen to it by itself, but if you think of it as an interlude, it actually works pretty well. I listen to JPN all the way through, even my color. albums are about a sonic journey and overall composition.
