It's a grey area in mythology but for 2hu puposes Amanojaku are explicity seperate youkai from Oni [It's mentioned in omake.txt]

Given that amanojaku are "a particulary twisted type of youkai" Seija's mental state probably is not entirely unique for her species.

Given this attitude and her lack of strength it is probable that wild amanojaku are going to get exterminated at a more rapid pace than other youkai, so their lifespans are likely to be cut short.

However, Sagume manages to qualify as an important Lunarian, being a 'divine spirit, ranked far above amanojaku' who is also explicity not a faith-based god, or an oni, or a departed soul.

Perhaps it's like a catapillar->butterfly where tiny minority of amaojaku who survive 'mellow out' and ascend to become something much more?

I think the tragic thing is that she CAN'T have an endgame. She could completely anihilate societal order but after a while she's not going to be satisfied with the state of affairs and try to mess it up all over again. This is hard to answer because it's a philosophical issue. Aristotle said that human nature is in part 'to build a household'. If that's true, would a human wanting to do that succumbing to their nature?

However, It's probably different in-canon, where it appears that objective 'wrong' involves an element of going against your natural function as a youkai or whatever. If a youkai went completely contrary to their nature they would likely die/fade away if they don't turn into something else.
