Also it really brings to mind that interview where they talk about how Nocchi was in a different class at dance school with a different teacher, so she dances a little differently. Her movements are snappier whereas Kashiyuka and A-chan were taught to kinda go with the flow or something. I've often felt they both, but A-chan especially, look kinda sluggish compared to Nocchi.

I actually really like Cosmic Explorer so I seem to be in a minority in these threads. I kinda think the real highlight of the track is right at the end (04:39-04:57) where all the fancy noises drop off and it just grooves out for 18 seconds, it's like a prize at the end and if I got bored of the song through over listening, I think I'd still stick it out for that. I find the first three (four counting Navigate) tracks really listenable, maybe because they're newer. For sure the whole album has a lot off ooing and ahhing which bothers me a lot, and those songs are no different, but on their own merit I quite like them, CE and MW especially, what can I say.

Party Maker I do like, but it can be hard to go back to, the big chunk where they dance without vocals is kinda ugly unmelodic sound, it's like one of the worse Capsule tracks, it's percussive and repetitive and not that interesting or fun to listen to if you're not also watching them dancing at the same time. It's a whole nearly two minutes of the song (01:30-03:26 - I find the shift it takes in the second minute slightly more palatable). Obviously the highlight of Party Maker is the bouncy happy part at 04:27 that starts with Nocchi dancing solo (until recently). That bit's pretty great but it's a quarter the length of the ugly part. The bits with vocals are decent enough. I rarely feel any real urge to listen to it like I did when it came out.

I have similar complaints about Story, I find it difficult to listen to.

Despite those complaints about Party Maker, I do love Edge and often go back to it. BUT, every time I listen to it I comment in my head "this song peaks too early" and it bothers me every time. After it peaks it's just repetitive without adding anything new for what is the majority of the song. It should have been shorter or rejigged to peak later (talking about Triangle mix here).

as with party maker the only good thing about it is the chorus. i've memorized it and sing a long, but then I forget how long and shitty the intermission is.

don't get me wrong Edge isn't perfect, the refrain is where it falls short, they should have held back on the second chorus and then extra on the refrain, have A-chan do the "sou nan da ne sore wa sona kanjite" and then on the refrain have all three girls and and double up every second high note.

I also prefure the short edge's ending with the fading ki ni naru.

but with the other too he really doesn't try at all. but at least with party maker it didn't sound exactly the same as another shitty edm song.

Also when they do high kicks in Flash Yuka kicks insanely high (as established in the MV for Magic of Love, if you piss her off she could literally kick you in the face from a standing position), whereas Nocchi doesn't seem capable of it, she always kinda kicks out much lower and more sideways

out of all of the video's I've seen this is actually a first.

I put it down to her never wanting to be off beat so she puts less forces and more snap into her moves. they come out rapidly compared to the other two. for some dances it looks fantastic. for instance fushizen na girl. I always thought that the other two girls didn't even come close to look as good as her during that dance but more reserved dances really highlight her short comings. in my opinion this balance complements perfume.

they all have their strong sides when it comes to choreo. I would say yuka is the weakest dance but I'm not sure, she is very inconsistant she is either a tiny bit better or a tiny bit worse. either way however she does she usally makes it sexy though even that is inconsistant. sometimes she walks on the stage and give us the minimum of whats expected. though with that being said the others have been guilty of doing that too even A-chan in recent years.
