I unironically think Remi wouldn't be a bad mother. Sakuya hasn't been around for that long, so Remi had to take care of herself and Flan for several hundred years.

That might be true from a physical needs aspect, but due to Flan being stuck in the basement pretty much the whole time, I doubt it would have done much for Remi from a psychologically/emotionally nurturing aspect. To the contrary, perhaps, since it's possible she may have had to quash her emotions to do so.

Wait, do youkai have emotions, or the same set and degree of intensity of emotions? Maybe we shouldn't be judging this from the same standard as humans.

Canon (non-sadist) Yuuka would probably be decent. Organised/hardworking enough to be able to hold a farm down. No real life commitments other than her sunflower farm maintenance, so she could spend time at home. Level-headed and gentle nature = good kid raising kids.

I think that's a given. Because for one, Remi needs to be old enough to bestow upon Sakuya the name "Izayoi Sakuya". So even if she's mature enough to do so at the age of 1, that still means she took care of herself for a minimum of one year.
