I just clicked on this thread because I realized I've never clicked on it before and I have no idea what's going on. Are you guys train enthusiasts with a particular interest in this particular train station for some reason, or am I missing something? It's a cozy thread and I like it but I'm having a hard time understanding what is going on.

I guess the thread is centered on this particular station but occasionally other stuff is posted, frequently involving trains.

This station cam is one of the few that actually has sound so you can hear the trains departing and the station announcer and people talking and stuff. This platform is also the end of the line so trains arriving and departing are traveling at fairly low speeds so there's minimal noise. Plus during the winter season it may snow which is really nice.

That's probably why they adopted it but Microsoft has basically forgotten about silverlight. It's officially supported until 2021 but Microsoft new web browser Edge isn't even capable of running silverlight. You have to use either IE or Firefox to use the plugin now.

I was worried that it wouldn't get recorded properly because I have ffmpeg record the stream in 10 minute segments and it was cut halfway through but it came out fine.
