I kinda like it cause it's terrifying, it kinda fits.

There are some characters that look awful in it, but some that look a lot better (than the PS3 at least).

The originals will always be the best, just for the style. I still love the PS3 ones though, they're pretty good and they did a good job with the facial expressions. The Steam sprites are an abomination though, I have no idea who OK'd that art but they should go and eat a plateful of needle-stuffed ohagi.

There are a few reasons I chose to work with the the steam sprites, even though I think the PS3 ones are better. The steam sprites are higher resolution, making them easier to work with. They're also already sexualized, so it feels more justified. If people really want them, maybe I'll go back someday and make some edits of the PS3 sprites, though that wouldn't be for a while.

It even adds a new layer of resentment Eva feels towards Natsuhi. Do you think Krauss ever told her about how he raped his sister?
Of course he didn't but I bet Eva thinks he did.

And every time Krauss looks at Eva, she immediately gets flashbacks of all those humiliating moments. Every touch, every lick, every kiss. All that she was taken by her brother. All those memories flow back every time they meet, and she has to hide that resentment. But Krauss knows.

Or maybe he forgot and doesn't even care anymore.

I love this. It would totally explain Eva's complete obsession with hating on Natsuhi. She's jealous of Natsuhi for getting her brother's attention. Eva never enjoyed the rapes of course, but a little girl can get confused. It was the only love she got during her childhood. Her father knew she was useless, her sister was busy pushing blondes off cliffs and her other brother was off chasing ladies. Eva only felt loved when she was being raped, as odd as that sounds.
And then she grew up, and was unable to birth an heir. But Krauss was able to. Of course he was able to, he was Krauss. To Eva, Krauss was both the most hated aspect of her life, yet also the only part of her life that made her feel wanted, needed.

Ehhh, I don't really like the whole falling in love with rape unless it involves some Stockholm.
It would be hilarious if Eva starts to get conflicting emotions and meagerly asks Krauss if he loves her and if it's the reason he's raping her every night.
Only to be told that the only reason he fucks her is because it's the only thing she'll ever good for so she might as well start early.

It would also be funny if after Krauss marries Natsuhi, Eva starts having broken feelings about no longer being raped every night.

You might have knocked off the others without restraint or regret, but I can tell you I won't be such an easy target. Ten years of medical school, I've done. I've worked hard to get where I am. I am not about to let you end this without a fight. You thought I would be an easy target because of my age?"
Killer: "Enough of this, Nanjo. Face me and we'll see where the roulette will land this night."
Nanjo: "Still so young...so full of life. I remember youth very well.
"It will be a shame to end a life after having saved so many."
Nanjo finally turns to face the culprit, four syringes held in each hand between the fingers.
"Did you know it only takes one injection of an air bubble to terminate a life? Who do you think will be faster? One shot from your gun or one of these 8 lethal syringes I hold in my hands? How about we find that out? I am usually a very calm man, but you see, burning Kinzo's body was a mistake on your part. I respected that man, even loved him I could say. He was my friend through various ordeals and I respect him very much. I can never forgive the person who would burn the corpse of the man who I thought of as my best friend in life. So draw your pistol. Let us see who will win this game of chess."

Those are spooks. Living for someone or something else is worthless and anti life. Love? An illusion. Children? You're dooming them to a lifetime of suffering for your own happiness and pride. Nationalism? A spook of duty, making you have children and do something you wouldn't do simply for the sake of an conceptual idea.

>It's not just the opinion of one journalist though.
Yes it is? You've posted the opinion of Julie. Rose saw first hand how the Japanese lowered their pride and culture for basically nothing. I get to eat shit instead of real soy sauce for a few cents less? Wow, such a great deal! Even worse, the event caused a culture of paranoia on soy sauce to the point where it incentivized people to not even want to have any.

>Dude, the whole theme of episode 3 is the japs trying to get their distribution setting up and getting screwed over because of outside force
No, they got their distribution in the job market. It's simply that without a state to fight on behalf of the Japanese, they were slowly getting crushed culturally by the Chinese. Season 3 is about how the Japanese fucked up by caring more about themselves than their culture.
They sold off their entire culture for pennies. They didn't care if they ate shit because times were hard.

The Soy Sauce war is not proof of the game being anti-jap, or anti-nationalism, it simply shows how vulnerable the japs in that era were, and even that Rose survived and still believed that the future countrymen can still be saved.

>No, they got their distribution in the job market. It's simply that without a state to fight on behalf of the Japanese, they were slowly getting crushed culturally by the Chinese. Season 3 is about how the Japanese fucked up by caring more about themselves than their culture.
Actually Season 3 is about Rose fighting off the Soy Sauce War, getting an independent distribution so another Soy Sauce War cannot happen again, and passing her will into the future countrymen, where lives and economics are better and they can fight again.

>her parents didn't even make her prideful of her own culture despite being the last of her countrymen.

What? The future Tokyo is shown as a cosmopolitan but dead, and Primavera is shown as the light.

>And then a culture of paranoia started with the soy sauce which got lost culturally. Within two generations, a national food vanished from public consumption. That's insane.
And? That's because of the anti-Japan culture spread by said outside forces, and a consequence of the Soy Sauce War, it did not mean the war is lost. And even then, soy sauce still exists in 2013.

The Rose Gun Days nationalist guy here.

RGD is literally 1488, we must secure the existence of our people and the future of japanese children, when I think about it.

Still, as an aside, for the guys who love to live for themselves and say everything not concerning you being spooks, please think of Meryl's speech in season 1, you are fine and dandy and dominant when you are young and beautiful, but when you are old and withoit children and family, you are shit out of luck.

So unless you start adopt orphans or something, kindly rethink your life and your ideology. Even in RGD's dark future with minority japs, people do not lose hopes for the future, you shouldn't either.

Okay, I have another short mystery for you guys to ponder.

It's winter on Rokkenjima! Snow has been pelting down on the island for days, and the entire island is covered in a thick layer of crisp, white snow. In the spirit of Christmas, Kinzo has invited the family to come round and celebrate. For various reasons, most including business, only Battler, Kyrie, Rudolf, Rosa, Maria and George turned up. The only other people on the island are Kinzo, Krauss, Natsuhi, Genji, Gohda and Nanjo.

After the celebrations, everyone goes their own way to their rooms. However, on patrol Genji discovers something terrible has happened!

Battler's body had been found in the middle of the rose garden. He was stabbed in the throat. Nanjo confirmed Battler's death soon afterwards. There were signs of a big struggle, his shoes and his tie were gone, as was his always present smile. Disaster had struck Rokkenjima.

As if this tragedy wasn't terrible enough, however, something weird was going on. There was only one set of footprints leading up to Battler's body. Footprints of an adult man. Nanjo confirmed that Battler could never have been stabbed in the throat and made it all the way to where he was found on his own. He must have been murdered right there, in the middle of the rose garden. Yet, how did the killer get away without leaving any footprints? As the snow fell and the seagulls cried, everyone was puzzled, and Christmas was ruined.
Can you solve the mystery and save Christmas for the Ushiromiyas?

I'll give some ideas I guess, I like your writing, you don't ignore fluff which I miss in puzzles. A lot of puzzles just jump to the story, you gave it a bit of fluff.

The trick to the footprints can be something like this, Battler walks out to the rose garden, culprit with smaller feet than Battlers follows him in exactly his footsteps. When the culprit has killed Battler, the culprit then takes Battlers shoes, puts them on and walks away backwards in the same footprints, so you only have 1 track of footprints.

How's that? As for the culprit, I don't really know. Somebody with feet smaller than Battlers I guess.
Also I have no idea about the tie. I'm guessing it has some sort of relevance. Maybe he was strangled on the spot and then stabbed.

Very well then, how's this then
He was choked somewhere outside the garden, possibly with his own tie, the murderer then put on Battlers shoes and carried him to the rose garden where the culprit planned to dump his body.

Problem is Battler wasn't killed so he regained consciousness and struggled for his life, that's when the culprit stabbed Battler and left with Battlers shoes while walking backwards.

These theories are assuming that the footprints are pointing in the direction of Battler instead of away from him.

Who's to say it's wasted? Other people? Myself? How is having children a sign of a fulfilled life? Can a person achieve success in their field of work and find love without having children?

As said, the only purpose in life is to enjoy life while you can and be happy. If having children makes you happy, then so be it. But you don't need a bullshit excuse like the fate of the country or a feeling of duty to make you believe that your actions are worth more than what they are.

When you're old and no longer able to have children, you just have to accept your decision.

Lord: it is time. The summer was immense.
Lay your shadow on the sundials,
and in the fields let the wind loose.

Bid the last fruits to be full;
give them two more southerly days,
urge them on to fulfillment and drive
the last sweetness into the heavy wine.

Whoever has no house will build none.
Whoever is alone will stay alone,
will wake, read, write long letters
and wander the alleys up and down

1. We can question Nanjo's statement on whether Battler could have or could have not gotten to the rose garden with a throat wound like that. So if it's false then we can just say someone stabbed Battler in the throat, but Battler escaped and collapsed and died in the rose garden.

2. If the culprit didn't follow Battler, then Battler followed the culprit!
The culprit, someone like perhaps gohda was attending to the roses for some time, the snowstorm already covered all of his previous tracks, (or we can just say he stood still) so when Battler approached the Gohda (out of his own will or maybe Gohda called out to him) Gohda killed Battler and then left using what I'm going to call, the "SHOE TRICK" from now on. Where you take battlers shoes (or remain in your own if you're a male) and walk backwards out of the garden.

3. Someone is a master at throwing knives, like Genji or Gohda.

4. Culprit kills Battler in the Garden, snow covers up the garden, covering up the tracks, Genji notices Battler in blood, doesn't approach Battler and runs off to find Nanjo.

SHOE TRICK applies to first 3 of these.

>Because having children who care and love you is actually sign of fulfilled life
You've mistakenly accepted that having children to perpetuate civilization and society is a sign of a fulfilled life when it isn't. The only example you've given is culturally and societally accepted ''signs'' of contributing by simply giving birth and raising children.

Especially in a western world where the amount of children is ever decreasing due to amount of pleasure we can get. The lesser the danger, the less children we have.

And why does it matter to an individual if they have children who care for them? It doesn't. It's a spook and nothing more.

>Maybe? But their life is meaningless, they blossom like a flower and die, leaving nothing behind but their works.
>Maybe
Exactly. You're unsure but it is. Leaving behind your work is the same as passing on the torch for the next generation. You live on through them and perpetuate societal culture. And it doesn't matter because you won't be there once you're dead. All that matters is living as you can. You'll probably bring up enviromental issues that is an end result of this mentality and this is true, it is a fault. The environement should be protected for the future of your descendents if you chose to have some, for whatever selfish reason, as they are a part of you.

Not for cultural reason like you may claim, but selfish reasons.

>their life is meaningless
Doh ho ho. What a joke. All lives are meaningless because there is no meaning in life other than passing on your genes. By creating civilization, humans accepted that we are above nature and that we will find our own meaning over simply passing on our genes. There is no individualistic value in continuing your culture through your children if it does not reward you in any way. Culture will simply mingle and fight for dominance as it always has throughout history, always surviving. You might say that if everyone thought like me, then all of culture and civilization will die, which might be true, except people should live for themselves which includes perpetuating culture by simply living and experiencing life.

And who's to say it's not meaningful if a person finds it meaningful to become successful and have sex for the rest of their life? Meaning is a spook and you put too much emphasis on it.

>if you want to keep your country and tradition, you have a duty to do that.
Tradition is a spook. So is duty. Duty is arguably the biggest spook ever.

The meaning of the term duty is the moral necessity to perform certain actions for no reason other than obedience to some higher authority, without regard to any personal goal, motive, desire or interest.

So instead of simply living to what gives you the most happiness, you are living for an abstract concept that does not matter.

>You can forsake your duty, but it is always there fore you.
Just because the concept of duty is always present does not mean it has to be obeyed. I have no duty to maintain my country or tradition UNLESS I find enjoyment out of it. If I hold the tradition of duty highly in my values, I will uphold them, but it is of no obligation for me to uphold tradition.

Do not think that my dismissal of tradition means that I do value it. I do. I highly value my country's tradition and cultural values, but it does not mean I am bound by duty to defend it at all cost.
My life and happiness supersedes it.

>At that point you can no longer choose, but yes, you are forced to live a life without children whether you want it or not i.e. too late.
My point is that by that point, it is unlikely that I will change my mind. You'll have to accept the decision you've made to not have children.

Very imaginative, I like it. I will try to clarify things for you though.

/RED/ Nanjo's statements are absolutely true! Battler could not have gotten to where his body was found with a wound like that.
/RED/ Battler died exactly where he was found!
/RED/ The wounds that lead Battler to die were inflicted upon him at the exact spot where he died.
/RED/ Battler died immediately.
/RED/ Battler did not follow anyone into the rose garden.
/RED/ Neither Genji nor Gohda killed Battler!

And for the sake of any future theories regarding the covering of tracks:
/RED/ It had stopped snowing the moment Battler walked into the rose garden. No tracks were covered by the snow or by means of, say, a twig to brush tracks away. There was only one set of footprint in the snow. None were removed. Yet Battler was definitely not followed.
Who could possibly have committed this horrible crime?

>You've mistakenly accepted that having children to perpetuate civilization and society is a sign of a fulfilled life when it isn't. The only example you've given is culturally and societally accepted ''signs'' of contributing by simply giving birth and raising children.
With children, you have a future, without children, you would not have a future. That one is the objective truth.
>And why does it matter to an individual if they have children who care for them? It doesn't. It's a spook and nothing more.
Because that means you have the next generation who care about you, and a part of you live in in the next generation.
>Exactly. You're unsure but it is.
Because your work is ultimately just ideas, ideas that everyone can share, your gene is not, it is unique to you and only through children that your gene can be passed on.
>You'll probably bring up enviromental issues that is an end result of this mentality and this is true, it is a fault. The environement should be protected for the future of your descendents if you chose to have some, for whatever selfish reason, as they are a part of you.
If I do things for my children, then it has stopped being selfish, because I have lived for others now, not just myself.
> By creating civilization, humans accepted that we are above nature and that we will find our own meaning over simply passing on our genes.
By creating civilization, the primary goal is to create a stable environment where children are protected and grown, free from danger. The goal of civilization is not of hedonism.
>There is no individualistic value in continuing your culture through your children if it does not reward you in any way.
Your children is your future, without them, your genes are lost. That is objective and undeniable.
>And who's to say it's not meaningful if a person finds it meaningful to become successful and have sex for the rest of their life? Meaning is a spook and you put too much emphasis on it.
Because when they are old and can't have sex anymore, what will they do for the rest of their lives?

Now that I think about it.
>/RED/ Ushiromiya Battler died where he was found.
>/RED/ Battler died exactly where he was found!
>/RED/ The wounds that lead Battler to die were inflicted upon him at the exact spot where he died.
Battlers body was discovered somewhere other than the Rose garden and carried over to the Rose garden by an accomplice who then used the SHOE TRICK to walk away. Thus when Genji finds the body, it doesn't count as being found anymore.

The wound might have been misdiagnosed as a stab wound, while in reality being a gun shot wound.

Neither Battler nor the culprit need to follow each other if the culprit and Battler ran into each other by accident.

The culprit is hiding under the snow at the scene of the crime????

>Because that means you have the next generation who care about you
The next generation always reject the previous generation and resent them. Your children may love you in kind because of the love you gave them but not society, unless you contributed to it greatly. Having children is a small grain of help and nothing more.

>Because your work is ultimately just ideas, ideas that everyone can share, your gene is not, it is unique to you and only through children that your gene can be passed on.
My work represents what I am, not what I was born with. I can make a decision on what I am thinking and what I chose to say about to world and to the world. With my genes, it only says who I chose as a partner and nothing more.

>If I do things for my children, then it has stopped being selfish because I have lived for others now, not just myself.
Selflessness is when you gain nothing and lose. I do not view raising children as selflessness since they are a part of you that will live on. They are a living legacy of your worldview and teachings. Not to mention your culture.
There is nothing altruistic about having children either. So you say that you are selfless by having but I hold a different view. Mainly an anti-natalist view. Not that I value suffering being an existential looming a prior part of existence but that you are choosing to bare children for your own selfish reason and make your children suffer for it by existing.
If, for example, you only want to have children to perpetuate and uphold culture, you are simply dooming them to a lifetime of worthlessness just so that they can live to perpetuate culture and not to live. You don't care about their lives, only that they can replicate and grow culture.

>the primary goal is to create a stable environment where children are protected and grown, free from danger.
No, the primary goal of civilization is to overcome nature and perpetuate our dominance over it. To be free from the harshness of nature and life. The goal of civilization is to help protect us so that we may enjoy life. Enhanced hedonism is simply a benefit to having a stable environment that lets us have more children.

Hence why, in a western country that is very secure, we have less children than a unstable country where you need many children for whatever reason.

>Your children is your future, without them, your genes are lost.
I am not solely what I was born with. As said, a person can still pass on their ideas and work for the next generation. Children are not the sole way to pass on your existence for the next generation.

>Because when they are old and can't have sex anymore, what will they do for the rest of their lives?
Enjoy life while they still can? Read more? Travel more? Continue interacting more with others?

Life is not simply raising children.

>It is something your ancestors have given to you, it is your duty to pass that torch to your children, and your children's duty to do the same.
No, it isn't. There is no obligation for me to do so except shaming me.

>But what if you do change your mind and you realize you have wasted your life? At that point, you can do nothing but weep and regret.
Then so be it. It is my own decision. Many people look back on their lives on the choices they haven't made or should've made. Having children or not having any is simply one of those. Can an old man go back to college and become a lawyer? Can a woman find a lost love and attone for cheating if the guy's dead? My genes do not dictate my life nor am I obliged by duty to pass them on. The same for culture and tradition. I perpetuate culture by interacting with it, not simply by having children.

>No. When I die, I die. There is no future after death. And because I will not be there to enjoy said future, to me, it does not exist nor matter. This is why it is a spook.
When you die, a part if you live in your children.
>The next generation always reject the previous generation and resent them. Your children may love you in kind because of the love you gave them but not society, unless you contributed to it greatly. Having children is a small grain of help and nothing more.
You might have bad children or dysfunctional one, and they have their rebellious period, but ultimately, if you raise them well, they will learn to love and care for you.
>My work represents what I am, not what I was born with. I can make a decision on what I am thinking and what I chose to say about to world and to the world. With my genes, it only says who I chose as a partner and nothing more.
Your work is not unique to you, your genes are you, because it is unique to you, and would not be lost

>Selflessness is when you gain nothing and lose. I do not view raising children as selflessness since they are a part of you that will live on. They are a living legacy of your worldview and teachings. Not to mention your culture.
I am not selfless, but I'm not selfish either, I live for my country, my clan, my family, not others. Thus I am not selfish, but I am not selfless.
>There is nothing altruistic about having children either.
It is not about altruism, it's about creating a future for you and your country.
>You don't care about their lives, only that they can replicate and grow culture.
I care about their lives, that's why I care about the culture that they live on, the goal is inclusive. To create children but not caring for them is okay but not good, to care for the children AND the culture are good.
>No, the primary goal of civilization is to overcome nature and perpetuate our dominance over it.
Only possible if we have children, only through children that you can continue to have dominance.
>Hence why, in a western country that is very secure, we have less children than a unstable country where you need many children for whatever reason.
Western countries are not in a good shape right now, with declining populace, a newer generation who do not care for anything but hedonism, it is not a good model to keep on.
>I am not solely what I was born with. As said, a person can still pass on their ideas and work for the next generation. Children are not the sole way to pass on your existence for the next generation.
You are what you are born with and more, you can share your ideas, but you forsake your genes while I can share both.
>Enjoy life while they still can? Read more? Travel more? Continue interacting more with others?
So in short, they change their meaning of their life. With raising children, I can enjoy my life, read to them, travel with them, and knowing that my life and ideal will continue through them.
>No, it isn't. There is no obligation for me to do so except shaming me.
No one forces you to do it, but your duty remains.
>Then so be it. It is my own decision.
Your decision does not mean you cannot regret over it.
> Having children or not having any is simply one of those.
Nope, you can raise your children and hopefully make your children be things that you cannot be in this life.

You share similar genetic makeup with your relatives. All of your siblings first began as zygotes formed from two gametes, one from each of your parents. Each gamete is a haploid cell. The gametes are derived from the parental diploid cell but are not entirely the same. So each sibling born from the two parents will have a lot of genetic similarities since they were formed from the same entities with slightly different combinations. If a sibling were not to have children but instead helped his siblings raise their children, he increases his genetic fitness. He can also, obviously, help out with multiple offspring of relatives to improve their fitness, thereby indirectly improving his own despite not actually reproducing. This is the basis in which altruism is seen as advantageous from an evolutionary perspective.

Incidentally, during meiosis, there is genetic crossover between homologous chromosomes (and sometimes non-homologous), so the resulting haploid cells' chromosomes aren't even the same.

>>15912017
>When you die, a part if you live in your children.
No you don't. A part of you does live on (your genes) in a figurative sense, but in a literal sense, you are dead. You do not live past death. You do not see yourself in your children perpetuating culture. Just like writing a book for the betterment of society will not let you see how it has influenced society after your death.

>they will learn to love and care for you.
And I counter that it doesn't even matter if they love you. If they love you but you gain no satisfaction or happiness from that love, is that an achievement? You may say that it is good for society, but is that even good?

Let's say you spend every waking hour correctly raising your children, making them the best they can be and they love you for it. But because of that, you spent years unhappy and wasted those years on something that doesn't give you happiness. Is that good?

I hold that it doesn't. Altruism does not bring happiness. It is not an accomplishment if you feel or do not gain anything from it.

Not to mention that you may raise your children to the best of your abilities and they may still end up hating you or resenting you.

>Your work is not unique to you
How anti life. My work is unique to my own labor and will to create. It is unique to me.

>I live for my country, my clan, my family, not others.
You live for abstractions that represent others within your group. A collectivist as it were. You may think that you are not living for others in an individualistic sense, but you are.

>It is not about altruism, it's about creating a future for you and your country.

>It is not about altruism, it's about creating a future for you and your country
It is. The correct definition of altruism is not living for yourself but for others. Throwing away your entire being and worth for others. This includes abstractions such as nations, culture or society.

You are not creating a future for yourself when you are dead. There is no future when you are dead.

>I care about their lives, that's why I care about the culture that they live on, the goal is inclusive.
Again, altruistic. You are wasting time for others without any personal benefit. A spook for nothing.

>To create children but not caring for them is okay but not good, to care for the children AND the culture are good.
Good for the abstraction of culture, yes. Morally good? Arguable. However, it isn't morally bad to not care about your culture if you do not value it. It would be immoral to highly value your culture and not perpetuate it by having children. It would be a contradiction and hypocrisy.

>Only possible if we have children
Not really. When humanity will permanently be above nature and NOTHING will harm us, children will no longer be needed.
For example, say we can all upload ourselves to the internet forever. What good is there to have children?

Children are always needed to maintain civilization until they are no longer needed to maintain it. Hence why the number decreases in western societies.

>Western countries are not in a good shape right now
Depends on the view. Economically, we may not be in a great condition but compared to not even two hundred years ago, we are doing fucking great. The declining population reflects our dominance over nature. You needed seven children to ploy the field and even more because of the high death rate among children. But with medicine and an easy living, these problems make having children less desirable or needed.

As said, hedonism is simply a benefit to having stability and dominance over nature, it is not the goal. Happiness is the end goal, not pleasure.

>they change their meaning of their life.
No? They keep living in ways that make them happy. What part of having children does not give you meaning do you not understand? There is more ways to have meaning or enjoy life than simply raising children.

>your duty remains
Duty is the moral necessity to perform certain actions for no reason other than obedience to some higher authority, without regard to any personal goal, motive, desire or interest. What point is there in doing something that goes against any personal goal, motive, desire or interest I might have.

No one forces me to do it, but if you had the power, you would absolutely enforce your view to make me have children.

>Your decision does not mean you cannot regret over it.
The opposite is also true. There is no assurance that living without having children will make me regret it when I am old. You're just bullshiting and assuming I ''''might''' regret it based on supposition and nothing more while considering it as a certainty. If I regret the decision then I will have to live by it. Regret can be overcomed.

Similar, but not the same.

That's anti life. I can be whatever I chose to be through will to power. When you raise children and hope that ''they'' become what you cannot be, you are simply projecting your failures and hope that their success rubs off on you figuratively when they don't.

Their success will belong to them and no one else.
Your children should live however they want, not as a vehicle for overcoming your failures.

Live for yourself and not living for others in the hopes that they may become what you should've been.

Your entire worldview is simply built on altruism and nothing more. You have accepted the term of duty and binded yourself.

>You are not perpetuating culture, you are simply consuming it. You do not create, you just follow until you die.
You have a gross misrepresentation of culture. It is a two way exchange. You consume what you produce by interacting and replicating it. I can equally create something for people to enjoy which may become part of culture as well.

This is what feminist call cultural appropriation and ignore the fact that culture likes to be perpetuated and exchanged. I create by replicating and perpetuating.

>>15912046
>When you remove everything, you have nothing.
You would still have individual consciousness. That still exist. Do not mistake a spook for nihilism.
There is only yourself that matters and every other abstraction is a duty to it that does not need to be followed or maintained. But also realize that a spook is also a spook in of itself. Realizing that connecting to other ideas is a spook is not a reason why you should not connect to other abstractions.

You should simply live your life in whatever way that grants you the most happiness, not living for others but simply yourself. If you thinking having children would make you happy, then go for it. Just don't get grandiose delusional ideas that perpetuating culture in a mysticism of duty and wasting your life and time for it rather than live for yourself is a better alternative.

>- Except my children, which containing part of me, can see it.
You are not your children. That part of you inside of them does not relate to you directly that will let you cheat death. You die and that's it.

>- It is good, because now you have a good future, you have people who love and take care of you, and you know they will carry both your genes AND your will. And of course, I gain satisfaction and happiness from being loved by my children, that's a no-brainer.
It is not your future, but if you get comfort in accepting the abstraction of surviving death, then so be it. I just need you to remember that you do not experience that future.

>- It is good, in the same way I work hard to save up to buy a PC, or to grow a tree so that I can gather its fruit, in fact it is better, because long term happiness is better than short term happiness that does not last.
That's not really an argument nor is it applicable. You grow a tree to eat its fruits. That's a selfish action. Long term happiness is good as long as you're alive to enjoy said happiness.

>- It is not altruism, it is carrying the will and gene of my ancestors before me and continuing the bloodline that has lasted over thousands of years.
Except that *IS* altruism. You are living for the sake of others. The will of your ancestors. And for your continual bloodline.

Do not confuse altruism with kindness, good will or respect for the rights of others. Altruism is living for the sake of others.

James Fieser states the altruist dictum as: "An action is morally right if the consequences of that action are more favorable than unfavorable to everyone except the agent." Auguste Comte's version of altruism calls for living for the sake of others.

You are duty bound to live for others without any regards to your own will.
As you say. You are carrying the will of your ancestors rather than your own will. That is absolutely altruism.

>- That's a risk worth taking, but even with bad children, you have left your mark over the world.
You are again arguing that you cannot leave a mark on the world without children.

>- Anybody can continue your work, but nobody but you can make your children.
Nobody can continue my work but myself. No one can hold the same vision of the world but myself. Or at least, not accurately as I see it.

>- I'm a collectivist, because I realize the individual is nothing without the collective, and that specific collective i.e. clan, family, country, is worth sacrificing for.
Exactly, and it is why I despise your views. You argue that individuals are nothing without the collective, so therefore individuals are nothing at all.

>that specific collective i.e. clan, family, country, is worth sacrificing for.
Exactly. No regards to what can be sacrificed or wasted.

>- Altruism has no limit, I live for my clan, I do not live for everyone else.
That's a false definition of altruism. You mistakenly believe that living for others means that you must live for EVERYONE. That is entirely wrong. It is still collectivist. You are living for the sake of the group, for others.

>Thus it is not altruist, I can perfectly kill other children if they harm mine and would sleep like a log.
It is collectivist but still altruistic. You are not living for yourself. You are not murdering other children for your own sake (like eating or whatever) but because they are harming your children, your group. You are murdering others for not being part of your collective. It can be seen somewhat as selfish as your children are a part of yourself and you are essentially protecting a part of yourself.

But if children were harming other children from another family in your culture, would you kill them?

>Thus if you do not care about your culture, children are also necessary if you want to spread your anti-culture culture.
They aren't. I can simply not have children or interact and perpetuate the culture. You again mistakenly believe that the only way to perpetuate my view relies on having children when it does not.

>When we become immortal, children are needed to spread our seeds far and wide through the galaxy, so that the human race will not be limited anywhere.
No, children will be needed because space and new world are a threat. Nature is MUCH harsher in space. New territories brings new threats. If we were immortals, we would not need to spread children nor would we need to expand or have children.

>Except children are absolutely needed to maintain your civilization

>- regarding duty, your ancestors have given their will and your genes to you, you are free to not take it, but it is always there.
Irrelevant.

I am still not bound to follow it. You saying ''well it's there!'' doesn't do anything. Tradition is there. We eat this way. You don't have to eat in this particular way BUT IT'S THERE!

The question I ask you is ''so what?''
My ancestors have not given me anything. They lived their lives for their own sake, not to create me. I am not bound to them nor as their dead lives bound to me.

>I would say that there's a very high chance you will regret.
Everyone regrets choices they haven't made and people get over it. The only power collectivist have is shame.

As said, a part of me lives in my children, I already conquer it.
>You are not your children. That part of you inside of them does not relate to you directly that will let you cheat death. You die and that's it.
My children is a part of me, they are my future, my gene is what made them and that will remain true.
>I just need you to remember that you do not experience that future.
My children will experience it for me, so they can build the future for their own children.
>That's not really an argument nor is it applicable. You grow a tree to eat its fruits. That's a selfish action. Long term happiness is good as long as you're alive to enjoy said happiness.
It is applicable, growing a tree is hard, it takes year of watering it, I do not enjoy watering it every days, cutting the branches, but in the end, I enjoy eating its fruits, the same for raising children.
>Except that *IS* altruism. You are living for the sake of others. The will of your ancestors. And for your continual bloodline.
My ancestors create my genes, I'm their descendant, in part, they live within me, so it is not the *others*.
>As you say. You are carrying the will of your ancestors rather than your own will. That is absolutely altruism.
My will is carrying the will of my ancestor's, just like I want to eat an apple.
>Nobody can continue my work but myself. No one can hold the same vision of the world but myself. Or at least, not accurately as I see it.
Then you are wrong, because as people can take over the works of others and advance it. In fact, some children take over the business of their parents with the parent's approval.
>Exactly, and it is why I despise your views. You argue that individuals are nothing without the collective, so therefore individuals are nothing at all.
Multiple individuals form a collective when they interact with other, one individual means nothing, just like a hivemind means nothing.
>That's a false definition of altruism. You mistakenly believe that living for others means that you must live for EVERYONE. That is entirely wrong. It is still collectivist. You are living for the sake of the group, for others.
Ok, so I'm down with altruism then, but my *others* are my clan, my children, my people. It is foolish to care only for yourself and die alone.
>You are murdering others for not being part of your collective. It can be seen somewhat as selfish as your children are a part of yourself and you are essentially protecting a part of yourself.
And that means I can be selfish and altruist, the best deal then, because as said, the others can not be everyone, and I care for my children than other children because I create them.
>They aren't. I can simply not have children or interact and perpetuate the culture. You again mistakenly believe that the only way to perpetuate my view relies on having children when it does not.
Except that culture is shared by collective, is not unique to your people, your clan or you. As said, you are not creating anything, just jump into another culture and consume it, until you die and stop consuming.
>No, children will be needed because space and new world are a threat. Nature is MUCH harsher in space. New territories brings new threats. If we were immortals, we would not need to spread children nor would we need to expand or have children.
We humanity will continue to grow, and children are needed because of that. Even if we are immortals, we cannot populate the whole galaxy without children.
>They aren't. Children are only needed to advance the morality and protection of civilization and nothing more.

>Anti-life is not having children in the first place.
Anti life is when you don't care about your children and are using them for abstract notions like culture.

>you cannot be whatever you choose to be.
I can. And I am. I have consciousness. I am what I chose to do. Society existing does not deny me from existing and making decisions.

>Indeed, because if I fail, my children might succeed, and if they do not, maybe their children's children will. That is not projecting failure but passing the torch/burden to the next generation.
Exactly, anti life. Rather than try to do something, you just give up and hope that their success will rub off on you. It doesn't.
Just like your X grand parents being successful, it does not rub off on you simply by sharing genes. Their success are their own, not yours.

>Not true, I simply do not care for everyone in order for it to be altruism.

>Except you are not creating culture, you are just repeating somebody else's culture, and repeat it until you die.

What a joke. What a joke. You simply argue that because individuals exist in groups, that there is no such thing as the individual. The hallmark of a collectivist is the savagely stubborn refusal to accept the fact that consciousness, like any other existent, possesses identity, that it is a faculty of a specific nature, functioning through specific means.

Similarly, Ange's breasts were made much larger, to the point where she's even bigger than Beatrice now. As for Erika, her Wedding dress shows that she was also given a bust increase. You're imposing your will to see them sexualized. That's somewhat degrading. Imagine if you told the girls ''I want you to be basically naked for my own amusement'' and instead of them being offended, they just went ''sure!'' and got undressed for you.
That's awesome! And it's not degrading if women love getting undressed to wear sexualized outfits! It's just more fun when they endlessly blush as you look at them!

>I'd only heard of him working in some public service job.
Oh yeah. Before Ryukishi went to work as a child service job, he went to an art university. Then he went to work at some lingerie design company to design panties and other lingerie clothes before deciding to work as that public service job.

Essentially, he got all the right elements to make genius works in the anime world.

Perfect, you got it! Don't know if you're the same person, but congratulations.

Maria got a piggyback ride from Battler to admire the snowy rose garden. Little did Battler know that Maria was planning to murder him for speaking badly about her beloved Beatrice. As Battler stood there, Maria on his back, he admired the snow and started to think he made the right choice, coming back to the Ushiromiya family. He'd had a great time today celebrating Christmas. Then Maria lunged from above, stabbing him in the throat. Their eyes meet and Maria's face turns into a hideous grin. Battler toppled over.
Maria sat down on Battler's corpse to untie his shoes, she pulled them on, tied the laces very tightly, and slowly retraced Battler's steps. Creating this illusion was perfect, now everybody back in the mansion would understand what happened to those who speak lowly of Beatrice and magic.

>> No.15913303

Hmmm good story but the problem is that the weight of the footsteps would noticably be different than Battler's, even while wearing the same shoes.

A kid that weights around 90 lbs wearing size 11 shoes will not leave the same footprint as an 18 year old that weights 170 lbs or so.

>> No.15913315

>>15913303
But the footprints were already there in the snow. All Maria had to do was retrace them. Doing so carefully would still leave the original footprints there. It's not entirely unthinkable.

Good morning and not bad.
If he wasn't followed and he didn't follow anyone, then only 2 options remained.
The culprit gave Battler instructions to go outside
or
Being carried etc.

This story however has 1 iffy thing.
There were signs of struggle, yet Battler died instantly. Earlier on, I wanted to press you more on this to get you to say conflicting red truths, but I decided to be a good sport.

Ah yes, the signs of a struggle were there for a good reason. The missing shoes and tie were meant to indicate some fight had taken place. However, signs of a struggle does not mean there was actually a struggle, just signs. Maria took the shoes and the tie in order to make it look like there was a fight (and to escape without leaving footprints). Nobody would have suspected Maria to have been in a physical fight with Battler, so it gave her an alibi of sorts.
