Ansaldo guns had absolutely incredible armour penetration and had very flat trajectory due to high muzzle velocity.Coupled with very heavy shells Zara had firepower rivaling that of early battleships. I agree with you and would like to see Zara and Pola be quite a bit stronger. I think it's part Japan bias and part just them trying to fit them into the game mechanics that is the reason that they're very subpar compared to their historical counterparts.

That said, i think their most glaring problem would still exist if they were historically accurate, and that's that they cannot into torpedoes.
If they were mini-BBs they would just be trading one niche for another. Even though CA(v) is a very useful class at the moment, they're mostly used as clutch night battle girls, so girls like Choukai and Prinz will always have the spotlight.

Didn't know it was possible to oneshot an ass hime with the opening airstrike in E4 too. Finally done with this event thanks to that.
