Everybody in FSN is too stupid to realize the best way of fighting. Servants in spirit form are undetectable by any human security system, so they can easily infiltrate military bases and steal anything they like. Some (all?) of them are allegedly capable of mindreading the identity of a servant from Shirou, so they should have no problems getting nuclear launch codes from ordinary humans. Servants might survive nuclear attack, but masters won't.

How do you know they can't? They can hold their own clothes and weapons in spirit form, so why not other things? And even if they can't, they don't actually need to hold things, only order air strikes/ICBM launches. Alternatively they could fight their way out in materialized form, as getting out is surely easier than breaking in.

Saber may be the most popular character, but that doesn't mean they like Fate route the most. That simply means they like Saber the most (and she's awesome in all 3 routes).

Rider would be the best servant for these purposes. Flying on Pegasus at 500km it would take less than a day to reach anywhere in the US. With B rank magic she will have no problem mind-reading nuclear launch codes. Mystic eyes give excellent defensive capability in case she is detected (which theoretically shouldn't happen, but only E rank luck).

The only question is whether there is a distance limit on how far servants can be from their masters, but possibly the master could ride Pegasus too, and even if he can't Rider has C rank independent action so it's irrelevant for 1 day.
