I really dislike seeing human (youkai) suffering. I want to post happy images, but I don't want to go against the wishes of OP.
I'll go halfway and post someone suffering and being comforted.
A person opening up and displaying their weakness and being consoled by another is one of the most beautiful things there is. It makes me feel really lonely to see it, but I keep playing LNs or watching animes that feature it.

Even as a person suffering from depression (I'm not gonna kill myself, it's just that I have a bad habit of getting melancholic, please don't worry for me), it's definitely odd and maybe even wrong that I actively seek out doujinshi, animes and et cetera that are sad or otherwise depressing in some way. I think the reason behind it is the beauty behind those feelings - They're incomparable. But of course, if that's the real reason or not is debatable.

Interesting, I think I've been in this zone most of my life as well. I've always been drawn to media with characters getting overly emotionally fucked up and finding comfort or strength in each other, especially if all of said characters are aesthetically appealing in some way i.e. cute adorable anime females. It marks me for garbage taste but it's like as long as attractive 2d girls are involved the cheapest of drama will destroy me.

Please remember, anons: Get it off your chest, don't torture your soul. Don't contemplate on whether or not you should do it, just do it. I know it's easier said than done (trust me, I know it so painfully well), but that gives you an even better reason to do it. And if you can't find a person to speak to, then write it on paper.
