Dog girls in general seems second tier to catgirls, but possibly better in non-lewd context than other types of kemonomimi. I like the idea of loyalty, but they also tend to be not very bright. It might be okay though, because they're one of the few kinds of kemonomimi you could probably normally treat as a pet without there being some sort of internal moral issue or them just being a roleplaying masochist.

They're usually pretty low tier on the kemonomimi list to me, but I like Konoha. Small type dogs like her, Mikan from Wanko to Kurasou, and Rico from Dog Days are pretty cute.

Same problem MGQ 3 had, the monster girls had too many monster features. In the first two games the monster girls looked like normal human girls wearing funny costumes.

There is literally nothing cuter than a catgirl maid. Cats tend to also cover panther species, so tougher doesn't mean anything either. In fact, I can't really think of too many series with warrior dogs, besides Dog Days, where cat faction is best anyway. Konoha isn't even particularly strong vs the Zangief like catgirl in the game she's from.
