That's a good question. Celestials are hermits on steroids / what a hermit become after centuries of hermithood. Lunarians have abilities that look like hermits and celestial abilities, but they do not consider themselves as hermits of celestials.

Lunarians are hipster celestials who decided that Earth was too mainstream ("impure") for them.

While both immortals, Celestials don't care about purity or rejecting life or anything. In fact, in order to stay alive they have to fight off kishin. Lunarians don't, and just kind of...faff about being smug.

In canon I am sure a Celestial would not see themselves as the same as what is essentially extremely sheltered (And possibly inbred?) humans, while the Lunarians would not see themselves as humans-with-divine-added to them.
