The game has mature themes, that aren't necessarily nice. The vanilla H is unimportant, but there's.. a bit more. I dunno about cutting/altering that. Depends on how much they'll be fine with on Steam. For those who read it: I'm thinking about stuff like that "red light" area scene in the first route. Or generally stuff that happens if you are.. "slow" at certain times.

And even aside of that, Aroduc? That doesn't matter. Look at Root Double. That had a known and good translator behind it as well. And yet they so horribly messed up the editing/localizing. Let alone that the way they released it was horrible. (very little communication, last day delays.. and when it came out all you got was a twitter message or something not even 24 hours before release..)

Do I have to write more? Sekai is unprofessional. There are enough times to make you think, they have no idea what they are doing. They don't seem to communicate well. They don't seem to bother with listening to the criticism they get from everywhere and seem to just assume it's not based on some truth and that they just happen to be the company everyone hates without any reason whatsoever.

Sure, things can change. Pretty sure people are waiting for that for a while already. But as it stands right now, Sekai has yet to release something that makes me think they could perhaps not mess up Baldr Sky Dive. We'll see.


People being excited is.. well. Probably unrelated to it being specifically Dive? Or maybe they are still around from the time where it was supposed to get a fan-tl? Anyway, the basic Steam user is important, and those seem to be not very fond of "miniature window" games. I'm not sure if Dive is actually good enough for people to get on the train after the release for that alone. Hard for me to say. Ixrec gave it a what.. 8/10 review or something. From what I've read, it'd be a bit lower than that. It's not bad but not that good either.

By the way, Sekai Project is blacklisting websites for covering the existence of fan translations. The only people that give them any sort of coverage. I'm sure they can afford this being perpetually in the red.

I'm sad about Chuable. Personally, they're one of my favorite companies mainly because I agree with most of the director's visions in his games and share many of his hobbies. Here's hoping Sukisuki gets a good treatment since it was a laudeable attempt at a different formula even though it wasn't stellar work, but that's probably very wishful thinking? I don't even know.

In the case of Favorite titles I do kinda sorta agree in regards to the H scenes since there is usually absolutely no proper build up to the stuff and it usually comes out of nowhere.

That being said I still entirely disagree with the concept of consenting to strictly cut-content releases. The original product should always be available.

I've been working on it, but finding non-shitty software that would also agree with our current .org server is kind of complicated. I was about to just throw up fucking bbpress on the blog before AX but it was running really slow just with a mostly no-frills WP install so I figured it wasn't worth the risk of tanking all the .org sites (especially since we had those teaser sites prepped for the announcements).

I wanna get them back up and running and nicer than before but it's one of those things that keeps getting pushed back because other shit ends up being more pressing. Maybe we should just set up a discord channel like all the cool kids are doing these days...
