Of course the AI is set so that enemies will target the weakest unit within range. There's also more benefits to fighting with your own units like how you progress their weapon level and can use stronger weapons which means that you won't be under-levelled later in the game. If one of your units dies in the game it won't die permanently BUT there's a risk of its weapon breaking AND there's a small risk of the weapon breaking permanently when you repair it afterwards.

So yeah TL:DR; it's really in-depth for a free mobile game. I recommend it even after the Dempagumi event is over

I'm also really glad that the units are purchasable with easy-to-get in-game currency, are are cheap as well. You got those from completing their own stages, and from PvP mini-games. So the Dempagumis are easy to get even for brand-new beginners.

Usually f2p mobile games, especially Japanese ones, will have that bullshit "summon" Gacha mechanic where you can throw hundreds if not thousands of dollars at the game and never get the units you want.

Ano circlejerk time?

Have been listening to death rabbits songs all day trying to find the appeal in them. I hoped i would as i did with ladybaby, but i honestly cant see what's supposed to make them stand out. Bucho is a cool gimmick character But his screaming is much less easy to appreaciate than ladybeard's. The girls i really cant wrap my head around: the wealth of appeal seems to be unfairly distributed, with Emi being both the most cute girl and the best singer, with Karin and Yuzu leaving me indifferent at best. The choreographies are hardly there and no stage costumes i've seen really makes me think "yeah! This is what DR looks Like!".
Starting from BM I never dismissed any other semblance of metal combined with any element of japanese pop, enjoying songs Like Lovelive's afterschool navigators or chuu2's doomsday's dogma, eventually appreciating ladybaby. With this precedente, i in no way want to shit on DR for "not being babymetal" or anything of the like, i just really dont know what to look for in them, and i've found nearly nothing.

Well first thing, I would say that you should not look at any other bands (not just Death Rabbits) through Babymetal goggles. It warps your perception and forms a bias to always use them as a frame of reference for any sort of metal-ish idol groups. Babymetal are to metal-idols as to what Skrillex was to dubstep.


More importantly, Death Rabbits aren't metal and they're not trying to be, unlike Ladybaby or other groups. It's mostly pop, especially their second album. With other groups it's mostly metal.

I'd say that he's actually a better singer/screamer than Ladybeard, not to start beef between the two. Bucho's just been doing it for years and years as Akiradeath. The second album as well features less of Bucho on vocals.

I'm not sure what videos you've been watching, but it's only recently that they've been switching out outfits. Their music videos don't do justice to their choreography either.

As far as the music goes, like I said, it's the fact that it's mostly pop with some elements of digital hardcore and rock and sometimes metal.

As far as the group goes, it's the fact that they don't take themselves seriously at all. I'm gonna go against my own advice and make a comparison to Babymetal.

Bucho is supposed to be this tough guy who leads the Death Rabbits army against alien invasions and shit & screams against corruption and injustice, but the girls constantly bully him and the crowd makes fun of him - and he makes fun of himself.

Again with the whole death rabbits "army" thing, they're not pretending at all that it's actually a thing. They're an idol group without pretense. Unlike babymetal with their whole fox god thing, the Death Rabbits girls are seen in regular clothes and smiling and laughing backstage and at rehearsal and even have an official blog where they talk about their personal lives.

Same with the live shows, there's a ton of crowd interaction where people are encouraged to make fun of Bucho & whatever else and it's an organic interaction between them and the fans rather than a by-the-numbers concert.

I'll admit that their first album wasn't as refined as it could be, but their second one is a katana sword folded a thousand times over.

4 members (including green ranger) when the group was formed in 2012, Kecchon is the only one of them that is still in te party.
After two of the original member graduated in 2013, all the other actual members joined in September, plus yellow ranger. I think yellow and green graduated somewhere in 2014, and the lineup was stable until know (ergo a hiatus of Mone and Chibo last summer).

Finally, Mone will graduate on Sunday while Chibo will join Let's Poko Poko, that is produced by the same agency.
