I don't know. The color is really the only main advantage. Actually, using color really automatically puts them above most of the other doujin artists already.

But in a B&W comparison... it might feel a bit different, but there's quite a few more artist I'd prefer.

Also, the whole thing flows like trash.

I really don't understand the Genocide Kitten hate. He's one of my favorite artists. His stories kind of blow, but damn is his art snazzy.

I like this guy too for his sort of Western style.

Same with the guy who did the Magical Yuka video.

The only thing Genocide Kitten has going for it is the awesome art style. In terms of story telling, it hasn't really differentiated itself from the hundreds of other Touhou doujins from what I've seen.

Unique art styles are a GOOD thing anon, even if you don't like it.

I wish to some day meet Genocide Kitten. We will get drunk together at a humble bar, and make jokes centering on the idea on what would happen if Remilia and Sakuya were to fight Count Dracula and Dio Brando. After we enjoy our drinks, we will walk around town, guitars in hand, and just jam to metal versions of Touhou and Castlevania music. We'll settle back in at his apartment and play the PC-Engine version of Splatterhouse. I'll fall asleep on his bathroom floor in a drunken stupor. The night will end with him violently waking me up and throwing me out. Then I would be able to die a happy American ZUN.

In monochromatic doujins, I'd prefer this guy over Genocide Kitten. Some guy is going to eat me over this, but I highly prefer Bamboo-Leaf Vehicle's backgrounds over Genocide Kitten's unique style.

Awesome Reimu is awesome.

The art is beautiful, though you'd think that they'd put more thought into the plot considering how much effort they put into the art.

The style is consistent and has an aesthetic purpose. If you don't like stylized art, why the fuck are you here? Ever watched an animu before? Now, if you said "postmodern", I'd agree with you, but this comic isn't that by any means.

Genocide Kitten is definitely awesome, but not really my favorite, then again, I don't even have a favorite
