All the other designs/redesigns are tasteful and look nice.
It's like they funneled all of the shit right into the most iconic character for laughs. Somebody needs to inform them it's time to step back and just fucking think about it for a bit.

Every time I see the new Ciel I get reminded how much I loved the original for the wrong reasons.
This one is clearly more fitting of the "cool/cute senpai" type the VN told you she really is, but in the original, she looked more dorkly/approachable and I liked her for it.

I've stated before that this new look for Arcueid makes little to no sense. But this is just my own headcanon at work.

Breaking it down, Arc had been asleep for ages only to awaken in the modern world. She would have little idea how to dress in order to fit in to society's norms. She'd have no money for clothing, let alone the trendy designer clothing that TYPE-MOON now wants for this redesign.

Arc's original design seemed to work better. Because of lack of funds, she looked like she went to a Salvation Army thrift store to find something cheap and simple in order to get by. I love the contrast this has with her being a princess who once enjoyed wealth and stature.

Since Type-Moon moved to a unified body design, it's no longer cost-effective to produce a model designed for a distinct combat role. As such, Arc has been transitioned from her traditional dogfighting position into ground support. As such, she no longer needs to attain high combat speeds, and her air intakes have been removed. To cut back on costs, her engines have been down-scaled, and her now-unnecessary skirt armor has been reduced to shave off weight and to match her new role.

Maybe it's because I was never into Arc in the first place, but I really can't tell what's so bad or different about her redesign - aside from the mini skirt it just looks like an updated version of her original experience.
Like Ciel looks really different so I can understand getting upset about that.

Her new one is very cute, but quite generic while her old was dorky but not very attractive.
It would be nice if they found some inbetween.
Fixing the hair not be literally the same as most of the heroines would be a good start
